Easton Holmes, sitting on Lily Turner's other side, heard the conversation between Athena Linton and Lily. Just like Lily, he didn't really believe Athena's explanation just now; he had noticed the change in her expression earlier.
Although Easton suspected Athena was lying, he didn't say anything. He acted as if he hadn't heard their conversation at all and didn't even turn his head to look at her.
The few elders were chatting away and didn't notice what Athena and Lily were talking about at all, continuing with their own topic.
Even though Athena was fuming inside over those fans' nonsense, she didn't show it on the surface. She quickly returned to her previous state, chatting and laughing with Lily as if nothing had happened.
