"It's all your fault!" Sophia complained angrily, shaking off Evander Lancaster's hand and returning to the living room.
Initially, it was an expression of genuine dislike for Evander, but in Juliana Lancaster's eyes, it was interpreted differently. She thought Sophia was shy after being seen holding hands with Evander. Watching her daughter's back, she shook her head, smiled, and sighed, "This child, really!"
Retracting her gaze, she warmly invited Evander to the dining table, "Evander, come sit down, you've been hungry for so long. Let's eat without waiting for her."
"Thank you, Auntie." Evander sat down at the dining chair, not touching his chopsticks and waiting for Sophia and her mother. A thirty-year-old man visiting his mother-in-law's home for the first time, he didn't appear the least bit uneasy, remaining perfectly polite.
