Yua pulled back by a mere fraction of an inch, her forehead resting against his as her crimson eyes stared directly into his human pupils.
Her breathing was ragged, her fangs lightly catching the edge of her lower lip as her vampiric instincts reacted to the pure masculine aura radiating from his proximity.
"Don't ever leave me again!" she breathed out, her hands gripping his shoulders so hard her nails lightly pierced his skin.
"I don't care if the entire underworld comes for us. If we split again... I'll tear my own core out."
"We're never splitting again, Yua." Kyle said, his voice raw, serious, and completely filled with an absolute vow as he pulled her back into another deep, lingering kiss.
"I didn't come all the way here and burn through an executioner just to lose you twice. From here on out... we fight back-to-back until this whole planet turns to ash." Kyle smiled back, a warm yet reassuring warmth filled Yua. Making her eyes subconsciously swell.
