[In the Prime Galaxy]
The meeting hall of the Council had been unusually quiet.
It was a vast circular chamber suspended within a pocket of stabilized space, its walls covered in countless layers of defensive formations. At the center of the hall floated a massive projection of the Prime Universe, countless regions represented by flickering points of light while lines of information continuously moved between them. Around it, several illusory figures had gathered, each one representing a powerful existence from a different region of the universe.
None of them had been told why they had been summoned.
That alone was enough to make the atmosphere tense.
"I assume the rest of you received the same summons?" one of the figures finally asked.
"Yes," another replied. "The System itself called us here. There was no explanation beyond the requirement that we attend."
