Chapter 1 - Prologue - The Abyss

Darkness.

A pitch black that consumed the entire body in a cold, unforgiving emptiness.

"…he's looking thin…" A voice echoed out from beyond, with a hint of worry in its tone. "…he said no and that's final…" another voice spoke out, in a stern and concerning manner. "…not gonna make it…" A third whispered, with each voice slowly melding together in a nonsensical haze which grew distant the more they rambled on; drifting further away. Slowly, the cold of the abyss became a comfort. An invitation to let go of the mind and body; to be consumed.

"We have no choice."

"Do it." The voice cut through the darkness. The creeping chill began to thaw, and a white light had shone through. Brilliant, at first, the light quickly was overtaken by something sinister. Something inhuman.

Then everything went red.
