In the morning Naoki quickly woke up opened the window and embrace the sunlight. He goes to the bathroom and wash himself, he goes downstairs to eat and ask his parents about the adventurer license.
At the dining table Naoki is sitting next to his younger sister Sophia who has a black hair wearing elegantly and along the dining table was his mother and father.
When the mood was good he asked his parents about the try out that was happening in the adventurers guild.
"Absolutely not!" Naoki's Mother said
"The other day you almost die from an Ent attack if not for the adventurers and the mysterious armored man,now you wanna try out to be an adventurer?! No I cannot allow that it's to Dangerous."
Naoki persisted on his decision about trying out to be an adventure when a black haired with a scar near hit mouth spoke.
"Son I will allow you to go to the try out.."
Naoki's mother was shocked at his Father's decision she oppose his idea until.
"In one condition... If you can prove you are worthy of being an adventurer. Me and your mother were once adventurer and we know how difficult the job was,so If you can prove to me you're strong then I will allow you to join."
There was a moment of silence in the dining table when Naoki stood up and and accepted the challenge.
"Father if this is the only way so I can join I will do it,what do I need to do?" Naoki questioned
"You must fight our Strongest servant and if you manage just to give them a scratch I will allow you." His Father Answered
Naoki was shocked at this and he knew his father was talking about one person and that person is Dawn.
Since he was just a child Dawn who's only older than him by 5 years prove to be stronger than him using her sword style. The {Western Sword Style} branch of the legendary {Compass Sword Style} is a style that focuses on the users speed and agility. Not only that the {Path of Bravery} improve her skills even if she's still in the 3rd path
This made Naoki anxious because as a kid he stood no chance at her speed and at the end she ends up beating him into a pulp.
"So do you still wish to partake on this challenge?" His Father questioned
"I accept.." he hesitantly said
They move outside and Dawn was given a wooden Rapier the same Rapier that gave Naoki nightmares.
"Alright the rule for this duel is that no one can use their Insignia Okay? Now I Baron Shin Eichi declare this duel starts... Now!"
Naoki quickly rushed in and threw a jab at Dawn as he is prepared to end this duel quickly.
[Body Strengthing]
[Raging Jab]
Naoki throws a powerful jab at Dawn to match her speed but.
*Whoosh*
Dawn effortlessly dodge his attack and launch her own attack at Naoki.
[Western Sword Style: Piercing Winds]
A barrage of strike was given to Naoki fast as the winds.Hurt at this attack he quickly move backwards and think of a plan.
'She just dodged that attack like it was nothing I don't think I can win against her in a real fight but I just have to land a hit on her and I will win!'
Just as Naoki is thinking Dawn Launch another attack luckily Naoki manage to react just in time
"Young Master you shouldn't lose focus on your opponent just a single mistake and you're dead.." Dawn coldly said
"Alright then if I can't hit you using my fist I'll just hit you with magic."
[Fire Ball]
Naoki creates a huge fire ball and throws it at Dawn unfortunately
*Swish*
Dawn cut through the fire ball using her mana to enhance the sword but it created a huge smoke.
'A smoke huh? So he still uses this trick?'Dawn thought to herself
"So is this a part of your plan Young Master? I can't believe you still use this."Dawn mockingly said
*Step*
"?!"
"Because it's so predictable!"
Dawn Swung her Rapier from her back to end this duel but she was shocked when there was no one behind her
'A faint?!' she thought to herself,when she looked behind she saw Naoki throwing another jab.
[Raging Jab]
*Whoosh*
'Damn she still dodged that?!' Naoki thought to himself
'This kid who knew he would get this strong.. I guess it's time to get serious' She thought to herself
"Alright Young Master I'll go on the offensive now." After she said that she suddenly disappears
Naoki surprised at this sudden change of atmosphere prepared himself to the upcoming attack raising his hand in a defensive position.
'This is the first time I saw her getting serious,I need to be alert on this.' Naoki thought to himself when a Rapier come at him

[Magic Barrier]
*Crack!*
'She broked through that?!'
[Western Sword Style:Wind Drill]
Dawn spun her sword fast like a drill and launch it at Naoki
Naoki barely dodge that and throw another attack on her.
[Justice Smash]
Naoki throws a smash at Dawn but she effortlessly dodged it causing a crater on the ground.
"Young Master you need to get better at naming your attack." Dawn mockingly said with a smile
"Oh yeah?" Naoki said with a smirk
"??"
"!!!"
[Wind Arrows]
A barrage of arrows made of wind attacked Dawn and she quickly deflects the attack and land an attack on Naoki
[Western Sword Style:Zephyrus Summer Breeze]
She instinctively launch a powerful attack at Naoki and flew him off like a powerful wind.
"Young Master! I am very sorry I accidentally used a high tier technique on you are you okay?" Dawn quickly asked at Naoki
"I am fine" blood dripping from his nose
"Look at your shoulder"Naoki Happily said
When Dawn look at her shoulder she saw a small scratch on it and a few blood flow out.
"I win.."Naoki said with a smile on his face
"Well Father is it good enough for you?"
"I am very sorry Master it seems like I dropped my guard, I hope you can forgive me."Dawn calmly said to her Master
"No it's alright Dawn you did your best, anyway from that duel it seems you have proven yourself to be able to defend yourself at an opponent so me and your Mother decided to allow you to partake on the try out."Eichi said
"Naoki are you okay my child?" His mother asked
"Maria don't worry he won't die from that."
Maria angrily glared at Eichi and it send shivers down his spine.
"Alright Alright I won't say anything" Eichi shakily said
[Nature's Blessing:Heal]
Naoki's Mother specialized in plant support magic with an insignia shaped like a halo and took the {Path of Faith}, while his father specialized as a magic sword's man.
"There much better now go clean yourself again our carriage will bring you to the Capital [Aetheria] the capital of the kingdom known for their futuristic magical tools."
After Naoki cleaned himself his sister approached him
"Brother please be safe" Sophia said
Naoki pats her head and said
"Don't worry it's just a try out." Naoki said with a smile
After that he goes to the carriage and he rode to Aetheria
While he was sitting in the carriage he thought to himself about the duel
'It seems like I have gotten stronger is it because of the Journal but I wasn't using it on that fight,hmm let me took it out' Naoki thought to himself as he brought out his Journal disguise as a regular book he read some of it's content.
He quickly figure it out that Elvin was right this is one of the world journal. It mentions the life of the hero but some pages are blank or torn apart.
I wonder if I grew stronger will some of the pages fill in the blanks.
As he was reading his coachman called him
"Young Master we are now approaching Aetheria ."
Now after facing the struggles he face this morning his now finally in Aetheria.
"Alright Time to go in"
