Steam rose lazily from the water, curling into the cool evening air.
The hot spring was surrounded by smooth dark stones and fragrant night-blooming flowers.
Brandon sat naked on the submerged stone bench, the hot water reaching up to his chest.
His black hair was damp and pushed back from his face.
Beside him, Scylla was also sitting naked with one arm resting on the edge of the spring.
"Congratulations, Kael."
Brandon smiled, leaning his head back against the smooth stone. "Thank you. We only found out a few days ago."
With a chuckle, Scylla spoke "Only a few days ago, huh? You really didn't waste any time, did you? Got married and immediately put a baby in her. That's impressively efficient."
Brandon let out a dry laugh and shook his head helplessly.
