"What did you just say?" Adwin demanded, his voice dropping into a dangerous register as he glared at Dredis.
"M-Master Dreulis is bound by a slave contract to Leon Luster, Sir," Dredis stammered, finally forcing his eyes open to meet Adwin's furious gaze. "And... he currently resides inside his dungeon."
"What the-?! Fuck this..." Adwin spat, his composure fracturing. "Get my carriage ready. I want to meet Dreulis RIGHT NOW. Everything is spinning completely out of fucking control."
"Y-Yes, Sir." Dredis bowed, vanishing from the hall in an instant.
...Outside the Royal Castle,
Within minutes, ten royal carriages were lined up in the courtyard, their dark wood gleaming under the moonlight.
"What happened so late at night, sir? Is everything alright?" one of the carriage drivers whispered, glancing nervously at the heavily armored knight standing beside his carriage.
"I don't have any idea. Keep your mouth shut and drive," the knight shot back, his expression grim.
