Chapter 182 - Chapter 184: Unexpected Relics

? Hermione felt as if she was in endless darkness.

"Am I dead?" She began to recall what happened today. Ever since the Brazilian Ministry of Magic official came to inform her this morning, everything had become strange. When she saw the professor trying to hold someone hostage, she instinctively stepped forward to save him, but he ended up strangling her neck and throwing her into a hole.

The last memory she had was when she fell and the professor cast a spell that hit her, and then she fell into this endless darkness.

"Oh, Dad, Mom, there are still so many things I haven't experienced, and so many books I haven't read. Oh, oh, oh..." Just when Hermione was sad, she suddenly heard a familiar voice.

"My quick resurrection spell was fine, why hasn't he woken up yet? He was clearly just hit by a coma spell." After hearing Ryan's words, Hermione felt that it was really embarrassing for her to have such a messy thought just now, so she quickly opened her eyes.

"Ah, you're finally awake." Ryan breathed a sigh of relief. "I thought I was seeing things. How do you feel now?"

"Well, everything is fine." After saying that, Hermione moved her eyes and saw Ryan half-kneeling beside her and putting away his wand. "What is this place?"

"From what I know, this is probably an ancient ruin beneath Castrobrusho. That imposter professor and the attackers just now infiltrated the school from this ruin."

"Fake professor?" Hermione exclaimed, "By the way, where is that person now? Is he hiding somewhere and preparing to attack us?" After saying that, she sat up and looked around vigilantly.

"Don't worry, he just jumped into the water and escaped." Ryan made up the lie without changing his expression. After all, he couldn't tell a 13-year-old girl that he had just chopped off the kidnapper's head and burned it to ashes, then filled his robe with stones, tied it to the body and sank it into the pool.

Hearing Ryan's words, Hermione breathed a sigh of relief, and then her face flushed suddenly, "Fei, I'm very sorry that you are trapped here because of me. I'm really sorry."

"I just want to know, I clearly warned you to be careful today, why did you automatically let that guy take you hostage?" Ryan asked with some confusion. After all, Hermione was not close to the guy at the time, and logically he should not be able to catch Hermione. I don't know why Hermione suddenly rushed forward to help the guy and pushed away his original target.

"Didn't you tell me to be careful today? That's why I noticed you and that guy when you started talking. Then, that guy suddenly tried to grab Alicia with a ferocious look on his face. I just subconsciously pushed her away, but I tripped and got caught by him."

It turned out to be the problem I had reminded her about before. If I hadn't reminded Hermione earlier, maybe this incident wouldn't have happened. However, Hermione's reaction at the time was understandable. After all, many people who bravely rescue others do so subconsciously without thinking about anything.

"Okay, I think we need to leave here quickly. Professor Sprout and the students are fighting and can't take care of us for a while. You just said that many enemies came out from here. What if someone comes to check? I don't think the two of us can withstand adult wizards." Hermione climbed up with her hands and said to Ryan.

It was time to move. This place was too small. If anyone from the Chimera Society or the Blood God Cult came through, there would be nowhere to hide. They had to leave quickly. Furthermore, in that person's memory, these tunnels were alive, periodically moving to crush anyone outside of the safe zones. And their current location was not a safe zone.

Thinking of this, Ryan immediately took action.

According to their memory, they pushed aside a pile of drooping glowing plants at the end of the shallows, and a black hole appeared in front of their eyes.

"Take this to protect yourself first." Ryan said, then took out a wand from his arms and handed it to Hermione. After all, Hermione's wand had been thrown on it by that guy just now.

"Where did this come from?" Hermione asked curiously.

"This is the wand of that guy just now. I knocked his wand away when we were in the water. Otherwise, why do you think he ran away?" Ryan continued to make up his lie. In fact, he got this wand by habitually looting before dumping the body.

It had to be said that Xiaoqing's body search skills were getting better and better. He also found a tin flask of freshly brewed Polyjuice Potion and seven or eight Galleons, which he tossed into his own grocery store since he had no immediate use for them.

After the two of them entered the cave and walked along the winding path for seven or eight minutes, Ryan sensed something was amiss. The knowledge he had previously absorbed from Edward Kenway included numerous high-altitude unprotected bungee jumps, so he was quite experienced with them. Therefore, he roughly calculated the height before jumping and concluded that his position should be level with the river surface.

But now he had walked such a long distance, and basically in a straight line. If everything was fine, he should be walking on the river surface from under the high ground where the school was. However, it was still pitch black in front of him, with only some fluorescent fungi illuminating the way ahead.

There must be something wrong. Ryan was thinking about it when he found a sharp turn ahead. The safe zone that the man remembered was here. After turning the corner, he was stunned by the scene in front of him.

The wizarding world has countless ways of hiding spaces. For example, a street as large as Diagon Alley is right under the noses of Muggles and has never been discovered by them. Therefore, it is normal that an ancient relic is difficult to find. After all, there is a convention in the wizarding world that the more ancient things are, the more powerful they are.

Come to think of it, if you claim something that has been eroded by time isn't powerful, no one would believe it. Not to mention how secretive wizards are about their knowledge, it's very possible that the item you found was left behind by a completely lost wizarding school, unknown to outsiders, and the magical knowledge contained within it could be on par with those of today's mainstream wizarding schools.

So although Ryan somewhat despised the wizarding world's style of digging up graves and archaeological excavations to recover knowledge, which was similar to the Mechanicus's style, he had to admit that the ancient wizards did have their strengths.

But what Ryan saw now was beyond his expectations, because what was displayed in front of him was a huge space, and this space was occupied by a giant Mayan-style pyramid temple that was more than one thousand meters high.

Hermione found it a bit strange to see Ryan stop there, so she turned around and came behind Ryan. Just as she was about to pat Ryan's shoulder, she saw the giant pyramid and was immediately stunned by its grandeur.

You know, she had just been to France during the summer vacation and had marveled at the height of the Eiffel Tower. So, like Ryan, she was extremely surprised when she saw the wonder in front of her, which was much older than the Eiffel Tower and three times its height.

At this time, Ryan's face suddenly became ugly, because after seeing this temple, he realized that the headquarters of the Blood God Cult and the road leading to the ground in his memory were all in this temple, and the location of the temple was also the safe zone.
