Water security might seem like a grand operation, but it's actually a great opportunity for a comprehensive inspection and rectification of water security and firefighting. After all, deploying law enforcement vessels requires fuel, and like the Navy, the Water Police are not patrolling the sea every day; most of the time, they are on land.
Six months of water inspections yielded significant results.
Twelve fugitives were captured, one handgun and five bullets seized, over thirty controlled knives confiscated, more than two hundred vessels with firefighting hazards identified, and numerous other violations handled in cooperation with Marine.
With the conclusion of the APEC meeting, the water security operation officially came to an end.
