"You rotten, twisted abominations..." Ember stood in front of the iron cage, his fingers lightly stroking the handle of his chain-wrapped whip. A fierce murderous intent flashed in his amber eyes.
"Everyone, get back," Adrian's voice rang telepathically through the minds of both Ember and Nick. His tone retained its usual elegant, lazy quality, yet there was an unmistakable warning beneath it.
The instant he finished speaking, Adrian's enormous body lunged forward as well.
BANG! CLINK CLINK!
Adrian's tail twisted through the air, slamming straight into the first group of Pastors charging toward them.
BOOM!
A violent explosion shook the entire sandy arena. The Pastors were blown apart like rotten watermelons, gray blood spraying wildly into the air.
At the same time, Ember raised his hand and looked ahead, murmuring a prayer to the supreme god Erebus, begging him to bestow upon him unstoppable power.
