Suddenly, small, firm hands pulled Salin by the shoulder.
It was Hanna. Her face was a mixture of shock and indignation.
— Salin! What are you doing?! — she screamed. — You're married! Have you lost your mind?!
Salin blinked at her. The words made no sense. "Married." The word sounded like a foreign language. He looked at Hanna. The drug didn't discriminate; it only saw heat. It saw skin.
A slow, drugged, and completely inappropriate smile spread across Salin's lips. He stepped forward, invading Hanna's personal space in a way the real Salin never would. He leaned his face close to hers, his unfocused brown eyes dropping to her lips, his breath hot and ragged against her skin. He was about to touch her.
