[Samuel's pov]
"My mom told me once," She started, drawing in the decrepit sand below us. My eyes followed her fingers as she drew a giant circle in the sand, with rings around it. "That there is a place beyond this one!"
She looked so invested in her own rambling, her long hair in the way of her face yet it didn't seem to bother her. "She said that one day, I'll get off this rock, and I'll find what she kept for me!"
"Your mom?" I murmured, she would ramble about what her mom would tell her, or what she would promise but I don't know much about her. About what lies behind this planet…
"Yup! When she was alive, she told me loads of things,"
About all the things she taught her.
"Oh, Samuel! You wanna see the thing I made??"
Even about what lies at the end of the universe.
"Samuel?"
I was brought out of my thoughts, her face inches from mine, wide green eyes staring into mine. I stumbled backwards kicking up sand, only to see her confused glance at my flustered response.
