Beneath the dense white mist, two colossal shadows loomed on either side of the ship. Their silhouettes resembled those of ferocious, ominous beasts. Even more terrifying for the crew of the Modoray were the faint roars of gigantic creatures emanating from within the shadows.
"C-Captain, we're going to be eaten alive!" The crew members cried out, paralyzed by fear.
"Enough chatter! Do as I say and steer the ship forward!" Modoray roared, showing no fear of the two ominous beasts lurking in the shadows.
With no other option, the crew reluctantly obeyed, their bodies trembling with dread.
The wooden boat lurched forward through the mist-shrouded sea and soon vanished into the dense fog.
"What a dense fog..."
The Logan soon arrived in the same region of the sea.
The mysterious white mist prompted Rojen to sigh in awe.
"Those looming, beast-like shapes shrouded in the mist are the two mountains... Barut's Gate."
"Excellent! Once we pass through here, we'll enter this mysterious kingdom."
A smile spread across Rojen's face.
With the Barut Ring, he was the true king of this kingdom; in other words, this kingdom was his! From the moment of his rebirth until now, this was Rojen's first real step into the world of wealth and power.
"That bestial roar... it's just the wind whistling through the mountains, but it sounds so unique!"
The eerie sea route, the mist-shrouded Gate Sea region, and the sudden appearance of the two enormous mountains filled Rojen with wonder.
One Piece is fundamentally an adventure, a world ripe for exploration. This vast ocean teems with wondrous sights and enigmatic kingdoms. It is its rich history, unique national customs, and diverse species that draw humanity to it.
Meanwhile, the Deva Path and Animal Path maintained constant vigilance, flawlessly fulfilling their roles as bodyguards.
The Logan swiftly cut through the waves, passing between the twin monstrous mountains.
Suddenly, Rojen's vision was flooded with dazzling light.
An endless expanse of azure sky stretched above, mirrored by the pristine sea below. Fish leapt from the water, and gentle breezes rippled across its shimmering surface. As Rojen's gaze drifted further into the distance, his jaw dropped in awe.
"What is this?!"
Jagged terrain dotted with mysterious, ancient castles stretched into the distance, their conical spires piercing the sky. Massive iron bridges spanned the horizon, connecting the structures, while colossal beasts soared through the heavens. Rojen was utterly awestruck.
"Is that... a dragon?"
He was stunned, utterly captivated by the sight before him.
Ahead lay six islands, towering dozens of meters above the sea. Iron cable bridges connected them, forming a magnificent crescent shape. The architecture on the islands resembled a fairy-tale kingdom: mysterious and ancient, like the Magic Kingdom of legend.
"Could this really be the legendary Magic Kingdom?" Rojen took a deep breath, his heart pounding with awe.
On the nearest island, he could see someone hurrying along, cloaked in black robes and wearing a pointed wizard's hat.
At the entrance to Crescentmoon Island, Modoray directed his crew excitedly to approach the harbor.
"By the Davy Jones' locker, Boss Modoray, is this really the Magic Kingdom?" The crew asked, wide-eyed with excitement.
"Indeed," Modoray replied proudly. "This is the legendary Barut Kingdom, the fabled Magic Kingdom itself."
"Remember," He continued, "not a word of what you've seen here must ever leave these shores. The Barut Kingdom maintains a strict isolationist policy, forbidding any contact with the outside world!"
"Yes, yes, yes, yes!" The crew members nodded their heads like little chicks.
On deck, Robin and Lordling were equally stunned by the sight before them. The world truly held endless wonders... could magic, the stuff of legends, really exist?
"Then, Captain, do you know magic?"
A black line appeared on Modoray's forehead as he glared fiercely at the speaker.
"One more word and I'll turn you into a pig!"
The crew member immediately shrank back, his neck recoiling like that of a turtle.
At that moment, someone arrived riding a three-meter-long flying owl.
"Modoray, it's you! What treasures have you brought back this time?"
Perched on top of the owl was a middle-aged man wearing a wizard's hat; his face beamed with a wide smile.
"We've brought back quite a haul. Hurry and get us aboard, I need to report to His Majesty the King immediately."
The man's eyes lit up.
"Meeting the King himself? This must be quite the prize!"
"Don't worry, you'll get your fair share. Let's grab a drink when we get back." Modoray, ever the diplomat, replied with a smile.
The middle-aged man nodded in satisfaction and whistled sharply. The immense owl that had been circling high above descended, flapping its wings around the wooden boat.
"You men, get these two onto the owl quickly!" Modoray ordered the crew.
"I'll be heading out first, Modoray. Remember, they're confined to Crescentmoon Island. If they stray anywhere else, they'll be executed!"
"Understood!" Modoray nodded.
He watched the crew hoist Robin and Lordling onto the owl. After mounting himself, he nodded and whistled sharply.
With a hoot, the owl soared upwards towards the looming island.
These islands loomed dozens of meters above sea level. Crescentmoon Island, the closest, was still roughly thirty meters high, too steep for ships to dock. The only way to reach them was to rely on these magnificent flying creatures.
"Waaah! Flying owls! Giant birds from fairy tales!"
The crew members were ecstatic.
As soon as the owls had vanished into the sky, the Logan approached Crescent Moon Island.
Gazing upwards, Rojen's expression became thoughtful.
"Is flying the only way up?"
Suddenly, his eyes flicked to the right, and he spotted a line of dark dots on the horizon. The dots rapidly grew closer, revealing a squadron of fully armed, sword-wielding warriors riding owls.
"Foreigners!" As the patrol warriors drew closer, they noticed Rojen's distinct appearance and their eyes narrowed instantly.
"Foreigner! Do you have a guide? Or are you an adventurer who came here alone?" the owl-mounted warrior shouted loudly.
"A guide? An adventurer?" Rojen's eyes flickered briefly before he replied, "I'm an adventurer, but I came here with Modoray."
"Modoray?"
The patrolling samurai recognized the name. They exchanged glances, then quickly whistled, and a Flying Owl swooped down to land beside Rojen.
"Get on the owl and follow us."
Without hesitation, Rojen leaped onto the owl's back, bringing Animal Path and Deva Path with him.
A minute later, the owl deposited him on a vacant patch of land on Crescentmoon Island.
"Wait there. Someone will be here shortly to arrange your accommodation," the owl samurai said casually, gesturing toward a small tavern behind Rojen. With another flap of its wings, the owl soared back into the sky and vanished.
"They're quite experienced," Rojen muttered, watching the warrior disappear.
"Hey, kid! Over here!"
At the tavern's entrance, an old man wearing a wizard's hat waved Rojen over.
