"Hmph!"
Nightfall severely impairs human vision, but Sea Kings are far less affected. A moment's inattention could trigger catastrophic chaos.
Speaking of which, these Sea Kings were immense, each claiming vast territories. This paradoxically allowed The Logan to navigate with relative ease, as most Sea Kings spent their time resting or sleeping outside of essential hunting.
Weaving through these colossal creatures, Rojen instructed the Deva Path to maintain constant vigilance while summoning another clone.
"Byrnndi World!"
As this clone materialized on the deck, Rojen mentally reviewed its data.
It could be said that among the six individuals Rojen killed in Impel Down's sixth-level prison, each had been a formidable and renowned great pirate in their lifetime. Though not contemporaries, all possessed equally overwhelming power.
World himself was a figure from the same era as Whitebeard and Roger, with a bounty of 500 million belly. As the user of the Moa Moa no Mi (More-More Fruit) Devil Fruit, he could amplify his own speed, the speed of objects he touched, and their volume by 1 to 100 times. In the outside world, a World at his peak would have been a truly formidable opponent for Rojen. But trapped in Impel Down, with his physical stats at their lowest and restrained by seastone cuffs, he lasted only five seconds under Rojen's onslaught.
"The Moa Moa no Mi (More-More Fruit), combined with various spirit beasts, should yield extraordinary results!"
Rojen's eyes gleamed as he conjured a jet-black metal rod from his right hand. He swiftly inserted the rod into World's body, causing it to rapidly fuse with the latter.
Creating Six Paths clones was no easy task. Each clone possessed unique data, requiring varying amounts of energy and time.
"Derived from Nagato's Rinnegan, only the Six Paths clones can perfectly unleash their full power."
Rojen understood this well. The bloodline he had obtained from the System precisely matched that of its original owner. Just as his Sharingan, inherited from Itachi, granted him all of Itachi's skills, the Rinnegan from Nagato naturally granted him all of Nagato's abilities as well.
'I've heard that when the Rinnegan and Sharingan combine, they can ultimately give birth to the powerful Choku Tomoe Rinnegan. I wonder when I'll be able to master it?'
Rojen mused to himself, yet he knew it was impossible in the short term. The dimensional differences between worlds would make it exceedingly difficult for him to truly integrate these bloodlines. Just as evolving his Sharingan into the Eternal Mangekyō was almost beyond reach.
Soon, Rojen dismissed these thoughts and resumed creating his second clone: the Animal Path. This clone possessed the ability to summon various spirit beasts and humans he permitted.
These summoning and reverse-summoning techniques proved invaluable to him.
[ The Logan ] sailed swiftly without incident.
With No. 8 and the Deva Path keeping watch, Rojen felt completely at ease.
He could sense the old man beside him, whose imposing aura had been expanding at an astonishing rate since his release from prison. This indicated that the man was rapidly regaining his strength. For a great sword hero like him, his entire power resided in his sword. Once he regained his sword intent, his strength would return in no time.
In the blink of an eye, it was the dead of night.
Suddenly, No. 8, who had been sitting cross-legged on the deck, grasped his blackwater blade at his waist and slowly rose to his feet.
"Time to stretch our legs."
Deva Path glanced at him, then turned back to piloting the ship.
Roar!
A colossal head, the size of a small mountain, erupted from the sea just a hundred meters ahead, its gaping maw lunging to devour The Logan.
"What an enormous creature," No. 8 murmured. "Even after seeing them countless times, I still marvel at how the Creator could produce such monstrosities."
No. 8 smiled.
As his voice rang out, he drew the Blackwater longsword from his right hand.
"Aooooh!"
[ The Logan ] was moving at breakneck speed, and the Sea King-class creature was charging toward it with equal ferocity. In an instant, the two were upon each other.
The Sea King's massive maw gaped open, releasing a putrid stench that permeated the surrounding hundred-meter radius of space.
At that moment, No. 8 gripped his sword. His draw and strike resembled a traditional blade draw, yet possessed a unique, indescribable grace.
"Blackwater Skill: Spotted Tiger's Free Rain!"
A long, resonant cry escaped his lips as he unleashed the strike.
Whoosh!
With this single strike, he seemed to summon a vast river, its hundred-meter-long current soaring into the air. The river swiftly fragmented, transforming into an endless curtain of rain. In an instant, the rain curtain shifted again, coalescing into the claws and fangs of a colossal beast.
"Aooooh!"
A faint beastial roar echoed, following closely behind the Sea King's cry.
Then, the colossal claw slammed down, crushing the Sea King's skull.
Saaaaaaa!
A sound like rain pelting banana leaves filled the air as countless black droplets pierced the Sea King's skull.
An astonishing sight unfolded: these droplets seemed to possess a primordial, annihilating force. Upon contact with the Sea King's skull, its body began to rapidly disintegrate.
As if it had never existed, the Sea King's massive form was being swiftly erased!
Deva Path remained impassive, continuing to steer the ship toward the Sea King's dissolving remains at full speed.
No. 8's blade skill surged forward with equal speed, engulfing the Sea King's entire body.
By the time The Logan reached the Sea King's tail, No. 8's strike had completely devoured the creature.
The timing, force, and precision were impeccable!
"This old man still has some strength left!"
Seeing the results of his strike, No. 8 chuckled.
"You're quite strong," the Deva Path praised, his expression remaining utterly impassive, cold as ice.
"For some reason, watching you and your clone always feels... strange," No. 8 remarked awkwardly.
"Hahaha, just wait until this clone of mine is perfected. You'll find it even stranger then!" Rojen laughed from the side, still cross-legged as he focused on establishing a connection with the Animal Path.
"To be able to create different clones while retaining the deceased's original abilities... this bizarre power of yours truly astonishes me!" No. 8's gaze darkened slightly as he spoke gravely.
"Heh heh." Rojen merely chuckled, offering no explanation.
In reality, this Six Paths Clone also had a flaw: it couldn't perfectly inherit all of the deceased's former power, instead weakening it by about 30 percent. Moreover, once the takeover was complete, the energy within their bodies would undergo a transformation.
The original energy within the body would invariably be influenced by Chakra to varying degrees.
This fluctuation wasn't fixed but rather random.
Due to the Deva Path Clone's perfect mastery of Armament Haki and Observation Haki training, its energy fluctuation was minimal—its Armament Haki was only about 10 percent weaker than its peak strength.
As for the Animal Path Clone, Rojen speculated it would likely be 20 percent weaker!
