Inside the last bounded field
*BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!*
Three explosions erupted, destroying the interior of a beautiful medieval castle. Inside a castle stood 2 people.
One was young with muddy blonde hair with teal blue strands tied in an intricate French braid that cascaded down his back. His shimmer was intense behind circular white glasses, which completed his fair, smooth complexion.
He wore sleek white knight armor with polished blue accents along the bracers and boots, giving him a regal yet modern feel. His body exuded swirling blue and gold energy that seemed to empower him.
But his opponent wasn't any less of a marvel to look at.
A man over 6'1" in height with short purple hair that he slicked back, revealing his violet eyes, which were surrounded by black sclera.
With his rich dark chocolate skin, which was spread across a large muscular build. But one of the most unique features of the man was the colorful tattoos on his arm.
On his right arm were deep magma oranges that seemed to release hot steam. While his left leg was covered in icy blue tattoos that released an icy fog.
He lifted his head to his opponent, giving him a rather monstrous smile, revealing his two elongated fangs.
"You know, my family actually holds King Arthur in high regard as both a ruler and a warrior. Same for the Knights of the Roundtable." He said while he stretched his body.
Gideon had his guard up in the case of a surprise attack. Summoning a golden sword with an ornate design on the pommel but a simple golden blade design.
"Well, that's shocking to think one of the most destructive clans in vampire society respects my ancestor. Quite the surprise. He said, taking the sword in a double-handed stance and lowering his sense of gravity.
"Well, I can deny my face's rather infamous reputation, but you know what?" As Lason spoke, he vanished from where he stood, to the surprise of Gideon.
But in the next moment he reappeared with his right fist locked back with flames surrounding it and sent it with such force it would have destroyed a small house.
Gideon raised his sword to black, but instead of clashing with the blade, Lason unclasped his fist and grabbed Gideon by the wrist to the shock of Gideon himself.
Lason, using his impressive strength, lifted Gideon into the air while his hand was still holding Gideon's wrist and threw him into a wall of the castle structure.
Creating a small dust cloud and leaving a shallow crater. Lason walked towards his opponent with a calmness that seemed unnatural.
"The thing is my family is actually one responsible for training vampires that serve those in vampire nobility. As either attendants or soldiers, so while my family is rather destructive, it isn't mindless like you, so-called righteous church, like to tell people." He finished as he tilted his head to the side. From a project of blue energy aimed for his head.
"Ah! The mana of King Arthur is said to have come from eating a dragon's heart. Quite the power, isn't it? He questioned in an amused tone.
As the dust cloud evaporated, revealing that Gideon was surrounded by a large amount of water. That seemed to glow with mystical energy.
Gideon sent out high-pressure beams of water, to which Lason dodged masterfully as he approached Gideon at speeds he could barely keep up with.
Lason tried to freeze, but was too late as the water wasn't affected by his ice and pierced it, resulting in multiple holes across his chest.
Lason helped each hole because he came to a realization. "You have holy water?"
Gideon got up from the ground with the water, which surrounded him and began to float around him like a serpent. "Yes. I originally had regular water affinity, but after picking up the 'Sword of Selection,' I gained holy attributes.
Gideon lifted the golden sword over his head, and the water floating around him gathered at the blade. He sent multiple water slashes that were amplified by the divine energy coming off the sword.
Lason Dodge dodged most of the slashes aside, except one which was aimed at his left side. "Grrr," he gritted his teeth as he jumped backwards.
Lason held stomped the ground and created an ice wall to separate him and his opponent.
Lason fell to one knee as he checked his wounds, but to his surprise, they were still healing at optimal speed, to his astonishment.
Whenever a vampire is attacked with divine energy, the injury may take weeks to heal, which is why my vampires hate the Church and those blessed by the gods, as they have the ability to take away their healing and immortality. Reminding them that their existence is technically a curse.
But the deep cut on the side of his body and the holes in his chest headed af record time, which made less sense.
BOOM.
He'd have to figure out what's happening to him a bit later as the ice wall was destroyed by a destructive blast of deep blue mana. As Gideon rushed, preparing to incapacitate him, he used his sword to send off multiple thrusts at Lason, aiming for his head, chest, and legs.
But Lason summoned his twin axes and used them to block all the attacks, but the force of them sent him skidding away.
Lason realized something was off about his condition. As all the blows were coated in divine energy, they should have hurt even more, but they didn't. At best they only stung. He sent his own swing of his fire axe, sending off a wave of heat.
"Shit!" Gideon exclaimed, and he stabbed his sword in the ground, creating a barrier of golden light.
But to his surprise, the attacks nearly destroyed the barrier and nearly burnt his body. Gideon looked at Lason, who also had the most baffled look on his face as he uttered his next words.
"What just happened? How did you do that? But as he finished, Lason rushed towards him,aim to swing his axe at the neck of Gideon, but in the next moment, a sound rang out.
CRACK.
