As soon as he stepped out of Cassian's room, Lucian didn't head straight back to his own quarters. He walked at a leisurely pace through the mansion's corridors. All the while, his brows were drawn together, one hand resting under his chin with thumb and forefinger pressed thoughtfully to it—anyone passing by could clearly tell he was deep in thought.
Lost in his own mind, he eventually reached one of the open balconies and leaned against the stone railing, closing his eyes for a moment. A cool breeze swept across his face, and when he opened them again, he looked down toward the grounds below, resting his cheek casually against one palm.
'If what Cassian said is true… back then, when those people vanished right in front of me, they must have used some kind of artefact…'
