Chapter 1174 - Chapter 1428 - Armored Mewtwo

The reason this Moltres could become a Legendary Pokémon, yet stayed inside Mt. Silver after becoming one, acting like a watchdog...

Aoki had a fairly reasonable guess about how this Moltres obtained its divine office.

He likely defeated the original Moltres not just with his own strength, but the League's exact role in it wasn't clear to Aoki, nor did he need to clarify it.

Anyway, this Moltres stayed so honestly inside Mt. Silver without any restraints; Aoki had never seen such a shameless Legendary Pokémon.

No wonder it didn't hesitate to attack him back then.

Leaving Mt. Silver would not only offend the League but also expose it to all the Pokémon interested in its divine office.

Although its strength wasn't weak, it wasn't very strong either. It hadn't fought many times, lacked combat methods and skills, and lacked confidence in its own strength.

In summary, this Moltres was just lucky, but cowardly, proud of its Legendary status but without the corresponding temperament.

It was essentially a bully who feared the strong. As long as you were tough enough, strong enough to pin it to the ground, and could strip it of its precious divine office at any time, you could control this Legendary Moltres.

After realizing Aoki could really hurt it, Moltres became honest. Though still indignant, it had no choice; Aoki, who held its Poké Ball, could recall it at any time.

Taishan also noticed the Moltres Aoki summoned and recognized it as the one guarding Mt. Silver. He stared and asked, "How did you get him here?"

Aoki shrugged. "He was setting fire to the mountain inside Mt. Silver when I met him. With old and new grudges combined, I caught him to play with and make him contribute to this fierce battle."

Hearing this, Taishan didn't say more. He knew the nature of the Moltres inside Mt. Silver better than Aoki.

But now there were some benefits. With this Moltres, the two of them had a better chance against Lance.

Thus, Aoki commanded his four Pokémon to battle Lance's Dragonite and Flygon.

Aoki stood on Salamence's back, directing the battle from afar.

Although Moltres went to fight Flygon obediently, its injuries hadn't fully recovered, retaining only 70-80% of its strength. Moreover, there was no synergy between it and Aoki; every time Aoki gave an order, its reaction was half a beat slow or even longer.

This kind of battle made Moltres unhappy, and even Aoki, as a Trainer, felt frustrated.

It felt like being shackled, a feeling of struggling at every step.

But he had to command it. Without guidance, Aoki felt it might not even beat Lance's weakest Flygon.

Calling it the "weakest" was only relative to Lance's other Pokémon. This Flygon's strength was not weak at all, at least much stronger than the Salamence of Aoki's teacher, Lance.

Pokémon: Flygon (Deep Blue)

Gender: Male

Level: 92

Type: Ground-type + Dragon-type

Ability: Levitate

Held Item: Dragon Scale

Egg Moves: Focus Energy, Gust, Mud Shot, Earth Power

Basic Moves: Dragon Claw, Dragon Breath, Dragon Dance, Sand Attack, Sonic Boom, Foul Play, Endure, Mud-Slap, Stomp, Sand Tomb, Rock Slide, Supersonic, Screech, Earth Power, Dragon Tail, Earthquake, Sandstorm, Uproar, Hyper Beam, Dragon Rush

Taught Moves: Draco Meteor, Defog, Superpower, Throat Chop, Outrage, Earth Power, Heat Wave, Hone Claws, Snore, Dragon Pulse, Bug Bite, Thunder Punch, Tailwind, Iron Tail, Fire Punch, Signal Beam, Giga Drain

skill learners: Dragon Claw, Toxic, Protect, Focus Energy, Solar Beam, Earthquake, Double Team, Flamethrower, Rock Tomb, Aerial Ace, Rest, Steel Wing, Stone Edge, Fly, Dragon Tail, U-turn

From this Flygon's stats, one could see its strength was extraordinary, and its moves far surpassed the current Moltres.

A pokémon with a Trainer definitely has a huge advantage in terms of moves alone.

Moreover, this Flygon had a powerful Trainer like Lance. The opponent's Psychic power was above Aoki's, and he was highly experienced in commanding battles, clearly well-trained—not something a temporary duo like Moltres and Aoki could compare to.

From the start of the fight, Moltres was immediately at a disadvantage, being pinned down by Lance's Flygon.

Aoki frowned at the battle in the air. Lance's Pokémon could all Fly, meaning they weren't restricted by the environment of Mt. Silver, which had a greater impact on Aoki and Taishan.

However, by teaming up, they managed to stall Lance.

Although they were constantly at a disadvantage, they at least blocked him, which was much better than Aoki facing the powerful Lance alone.

And not just here; with Taishan's arrival, the legions stationed at the foot of Mt. Silver also reacted and were now rushing up, fighting the members of the God Sect.

Thus, the situation below barely stabilized. As long as the battle above between Aoki and Taishan remained stable and they waited a bit longer for the League experts to return, at the very least, they could keep most of the God Sect members here today.

However, Lance's expression remained indifferent, as if the casualties of the God Sect members below had nothing to do with him.

While he didn't value them, it didn't mean he didn't pay attention.

"Latias, Mega Evolution!" Lance shouted calmly.

Hearing this, Latias instantly completed Mega Evolution, becoming Mega Latias. Following Mega Latios, another Sect Leader Level Pokémon appeared.

Taishan, who was already struggling, was caught off guard, leading to one of his Pokémon being forcibly defeated by the suddenly Mega Evolved Latias.

Losing a Pokémon caused his strength to drop significantly, while the opponent added a Mega Latias, a Sect Leader Level Pokémon, making it difficult for him to hold off four Pokémon.

Seeing the change, Aoki's expression shifted. Gritting his teeth, he commanded Darkrai and Mega Gengar to help Taishan take on another Pokémon.

Only then did Taishan barely stabilize.

Now he and Aoki each stalled three of Lance's Pokémon, but the situation for both was precarious, and they could fail at any moment.

If Lance exerted a bit more strength, Aoki and Taishan would lose their balance and be defeated in one fell swoop.

This situation continued for a while, and both Aoki and Taishan were nearly at their wits' end.

Moltres, who hadn't recovered much combat power, was now lying on the ground again with a look of despair.

Having just been tormented by Aoki, it was forced out only to be tormented by someone else.

The other three Pokémon—Darkrai, Mega Gengar, and Mega Tyranitar—were also covered in wounds, looking like they could collapse at any moment.

Aoki's Pokémon were in bad shape, but Taishan's were even worse. His ace, Mega Charizard X, was fighting solely on sheer willpower.

"Covered in wounds" wasn't enough to describe it; there wasn't a single patch of intact skin, and it was drenched in blood.

It seemed like a long time had passed, but if one checked the clock, it hadn't been long at all.

Purely because their own strength was insufficient; the opponent had two Sect Leader Level Pokémon, and they were Legendary Dragon-types—even if they weren't True Legendaries, they were beyond ordinary Pokémon.

These two Pokémon were the main reason the battle was so difficult for Aoki and Taishan.

"Young Aoki, it seems we won't have a good ending today." At this point, Taishan had naturally moved to stand with Aoki for better coordination.

He looked at Aoki with a bitter smile. "Dragging you into this is a failure of us older League members. I realize now that I completely misjudged your generation. If there's a chance to survive, I'd definitely feel at ease handing the League over to someone like you.

I really want to have a good drink with a young talent like you..."

Taishan looked at Aoki with unshielded admiration.

He was that kind of person—straightforward. If he liked or admired someone, he wouldn't hold back his praise.

As the saying goes, the most sincere friendship between men is having been in the same class, having fought in the same trenches, and having visited brothels together... ahem.

In this battle, he and Aoki fought Lance together, which counted as being in the same trenches.

Moreover, Aoki showed no sign of retreating. When Taishan made a defensive error, Aoki held the line and helped share the pressure.

Originally, he was the most adamant opponent in the League against delegating power to the younger generation. But through today's battle, he realized they weren't as incompetent as he thought. If they were all like Aoki, delegating power wouldn't be a bad thing.

They didn't even need to be as good as Aoki; even half as good would be enough.

Unfortunately, they likely wouldn't see tomorrow's sun.

Although they had caused significant damage to Lance, it was negligible compared to their own state.

Hearing the admiration in Taishan's words, Aoki's dry lips cracked into a smile. He licked them lightly and grinned. "Hehe, Commander Taishan, I think you'll still have to treat me to that drink. We've stalled long enough. It's about time to hand Lance over to someone else—someone who can face him head-on."

Taishan was stunned, then felt a surge of joy. "Has a League expert returned?"

But thinking of the League's experts over the years and Lance's current strength, he shook his head with a bitter smile. "I'm afraid the League's experts are no match for this Lance. Unless the main force returns, it might be useless.

The League still has many powerful old-timers, but I don't know where they are. Or rather, no one knows except for the Elder.

But these old-timers haven't appeared for years; we don't even know if they're still alive.

Did you sense someone coming?"

Aoki's smile grew wider, and he felt a sense of relief. "I don't know if those old-timers are alive, but I know the person coming can definitely stop this Lance and might even drive him back.

And you know this person too."

"I know them too?" Taishan was instinctively stunned. In his memory, there was only one person he knew who could match Lance, and that was the current President of the League, the Elder. As for how much strength the other old-timers had, he didn't know.

Aoki nodded, very certain.

Seeing Aoki's certainty, Taishan was puzzled. He wasn't close to Aoki, so how did Aoki know who he knew?

Immediately after, a figure flashed through his mind, his breathing unconsciously quickening and his eyes widening in disbelief. "You're not talking about... him, are you?"

Although Aoki didn't know who the figure was, he estimated it was likely the same person he was thinking of. After all, someone of such strength was truly one in a million in the entire Pokémon World.

"Team Rockets... Giovanni?" Taishan's voice trembled slightly, as he was the only person he could think of at this moment.

He just couldn't understand why Giovanni would come here.

As opponents of the League, Team Rockets had scaled back in recent years, and while friction between them wasn't great, they were still hostile toward each other.

If Giovanni came here, was he sure he wasn't teaming up with Lance to target the League?

At this thought, Taishan's heart trembled. Even with his strong will, the pressure mounted instantly when he considered what he'd have to face if Giovanni appeared here.

Crucially, his Pokémon had already lost seventy to eighty percent of their strength. How could he possibly stop a combined force of Giovanni and Lance?

He remembered that the two of them used to be very close—inseparable, even. Their strength was evenly matched, and they grew by competing with each other. This led to them gaining significant momentum within the League, even being called the two greatest geniuses since the League's founding and seen as the League's future.

As for Taishan himself, though he was familiar with them back then, he was more like a little brother figure who was constantly trying to catch up to them.

"Wait, you're saying... Giovanni is here to deal with Lance? How do you know?" Taishan finally reacted, hearing from Aoki's tone that Giovanni seemed to be here to handle Lance rather than the League.

Aoki nodded, his expression looking somewhat stable. "Because with his aggressive demeanor, it's clear he's not here for two 'old, weak, and disabled' people like us."

"Besides, if he really wanted to act against the League, it wouldn't be just him coming to Mt. Silver; it would be the entire army of Team Rockets."

Hearing Aoki say this, Taishan's heart steadied a bit. After all, as a Psychic user, Aoki perceived more things than he did.

However, he didn't notice that Lance, who was mid-air, hadn't discovered Giovanni like Aoki had.

This was because although Giovanni wasn't far from Mt. Silver and was almost entering the current Psychic Barrier, he was still outside Lance's range of perception.

But soon, Lance finally discovered the rapidly approaching, tyrannical power. The sheer strength of this power left him somewhat speechless.

He subconsciously forgot to command his Pokémon in battle and looked toward the figure forcibly intruding into the Psychic Barrier.

To be precise, there were two figures. One was Giovanni, the leader of Team Rockets, dressed in a formal suit. Beside him was a strange creature he had never seen before, its body encased in a suit of jet-black armor that obscured its true appearance.

It wore a triangular helmet that covered its entire head, with only two ear-like appendages showing outside the armor, which seemed to be the Pokémon's natural color. On the front of the helmet was a 'V'-shaped black glass visor, behind which the creature's eyes were likely located.

Its hands were encased in thick armor, covering everything below the elbows.

It also wore knight-like pauldrons on its shoulders, and its ankles were similarly covered in special black metal armor.

The largest area of coverage was from the creature's chest to its abdomen, encased in uniquely designed armor that also wrapped around its back. However, the neural bundles extending from the center of its back to the back of its neck were intercepted by a special device on this armor.

Of course, part of its curved purple tail was also covered in metal armor.

At first glance, it had an extraterrestrial feel, somewhat like a future warrior from a TV show, full of high-tech vibes.

And from this never-before-seen creature, an aura was released that no one present could ignore, one that was even somewhat shocking.

Utterly terrifying!

A thin layer of Psychic energy covered Giovanni's body, allowing him to Fly back and forth in mid-air just like Lance. There was no need to guess; the Psychic power on him surely came from the strange creature beside him.

"It seems there are quite a few old acquaintances here today. Lance, Taishan!" Giovanni had a hearty smile on his face as he slowly rose to the same height as Lance, looking from afar at this old friend he hadn't seen in years.

Time had flown like a white horse passing a gap. In the blink of an eye, the two of them had become their current selves, each a big shot of their own faction. Furthermore, the two who had once been in the League together now both wanted to overthrow it.

Lance glanced at Giovanni, whose appearance hadn't changed much, and then at the special creature beside him, sensing a profound threat from it.

Even his most relied-upon Pokémon, Mega Latios and Mega Latias, moved to Lance's side, staring warily at the special creature in black armor.

As Sect Leader Level Pokémon, they perceived much more than their Trainer, Lance, did.

From this special, never-before-seen creature, they felt not only a threat from its strength but also a sense of oppression coming from its Pokémon bloodline.

As Legendary Pokémon, although they held no divine office, it didn't hinder their status as Legendaries or the Legendary blood flowing through their veins.

This feeling was something they had only ever felt from Giratina, the one who could speak as an equal with their Trainer and whose divine office was slightly superior.

That was the suppression of a Legendary Pokémon at the Legendary level!

What surprised them was that, logically, a Legendary Pokémon capable of suppressing them at this level would inevitably be a Legendary Pokémon with a divine office. They had never seen a Legendary Pokémon without one.

Was there such a thing as a Legendary Pokémon without a divine office? It seemed not.

Yet, from the opponent's body, they truly felt the pressure belonging to a Legendary Pokémon.

After conveying what he sensed to Lance, a look of surprise appeared on Lance's face. He looked again at the creature beside Giovanni and asked, "Giovanni, what exactly is that Pokémon beside you? Could it be the Mew that your Team Rockets has been pursuing?"

If Arceus was the creator of the entire Pokémon World, then Mew was the ancestor of all Pokémon in the world.

However, in Lance's impression, Mew was supposed to be a Pokémon not particularly skilled in combat. Furthermore, strictly speaking, Mew was a Mythical Pokémon, and the way it was distinguished was different from Legendary Pokémon.

Hearing Lance's question, Giovanni's smile widened. He slowly shook his head and said, "It's not Mew. However, compared to Mew, its combat power is even stronger. I have named it Mewtwo!"

"In the entire Pokémon World, there is only this one!"

Mewtwo!!!

The hearts of several people were shaken. From the name alone, they could hear Giovanni's intent: Mewtwo, to surpass Mew. This showed how much confidence Giovanni had in this Pokémon.

"Mewtwo? Is it what your Team Rockets has been working on all these years? A product of genetic engineering?" Lance's eyes held a hint of surprise.

Regarding this question, Giovanni no longer avoided it. He brought Mewtwo out today to display it before everyone and to tell the entire League and the whole world that his Team Rockets would emerge once again, and with absolute strength.

Although the current Mewtwo had not yet reached the optimal state Giovanni envisioned, nor had its strength reached its limit, such power was already enough for him now.

With a Mewtwo that could briefly rival a Legendary Pokémon, Giovanni was no longer as worried about the League's unknown trump cards.

Aoki stared intently at Mewtwo, who was floating beside Giovanni, the heat in his eyes almost uncontrollable. If it weren't for the fact that everyone present was a big shot, he really wouldn't want to suppress the fervor in his gaze.

He lowered his head and shifted his gaze to the ground, avoiding looking at Mewtwo. He was afraid the heat in his eyes would be noticed by Giovanni and Lance. Lance would be fine, but it would be hard to explain to Giovanni.

'I let you be the vice leader of Team Rockets, yet you're eyeing my Mewtwo?'

Giovanni would probably turn around and deal with Aoki immediately after finishing with Lance.

Only after finally suppressing the desire in his heart did Aoki look at Mewtwo again.

He felt that the psychic seed he had planted had already sprouted, but he didn't feel any thought fluctuations or any self-awareness; it was as if its mind was a complete blank.

There was also the mark the chip had left on Mewtwo's armor when Aoki touched it earlier.

This was Aoki's two-pronged preparation, allowing him to perceive Mewtwo's movements and whereabouts at the first opportunity.

Previously, inside Mt. Silver, after forcibly capturing that Moltres, Aoki was still hesitating whether to get involved in this matter.

Although he didn't want to see a colossus like the League collapse, he had self-awareness. He knew that even if he intervened, it wouldn't have much impact on the situation. He might play a somewhat important role, but definitely not a decisive one.

If no one appeared who could sway the entire situation, then whether he went or not didn't make much difference.

The only difference would be the timing of the League's collapse.

However, just then, Aoki sensed Mewtwo's approach. What did Mewtwo's approach represent? Giovanni must be there too!

Since Aoki could see through the God Sect's plan, then as a hero and someone who knew Lance better than Aoki did, Giovanni could naturally guess a few things as well.

Thus, Giovanni, the League's opponent and leader of Team Rockets, actually arrived much faster than those League experts.

Then the question arose: why would Giovanni, the leader of Team Rockets, think of helping the League instead of kicking them while they were down and working with Lance to destroy the entire League?

Regarding this question, Aoki put himself in Giovanni's shoes and thought it over carefully.

The most crucial point was: would the League be overthrown in one fell swoop by the God Sect?

After thinking through all the possibilities, the final result he got was... impossible!

Even if the God Sect eliminated everyone in The Master League on Mt. Silver, the League probably wouldn't collapse. At most, the various regions would be leaderless and act independently.

But this clearly didn't align with Giovanni and Team Rockets' plan to swallow the entire League whole.

It wasn't that the regions acting independently would make it easier for Team Rockets to invade them.

The more likely scenario was that the powerful underground forces in those regions would unite with the regional Leagues to exclude outsiders, resulting in Team Rockets gaining no benefits.

If the current Team Rockets had already established a firm foothold in every region and could send large forces into them at any time, then Giovanni would absolutely have come here today to take down the League with Lance, and then the two of them would fight it out to see who could better occupy the Pokémon World.

Unfortunately, in recent years, Team Rockets had focused their attention on creating Mewtwo and hadn't paid much attention to other regions.

Furthermore, according to Giovanni's plan, rather than directly destroying the League Headquarters, it was better to let it exist temporarily.

In fact, the most important thing was the pride and confidence currently swelling in Giovanni's heart.

The successful birth of Mewtwo, followed by several tests, revealed its potential and strength, causing Giovanni's confidence to swell to the point of feeling invincible.

As a man of immense ambition, seeing that he had the power to defeat the League head-on, why would he still need the help of the God Sect?

The God Sect had not only planted moles within the League, but also within Team Rockets and by Giovanni's side, which was what bothered Giovanni the most.

Lance had always been in the shadows while he and the League were in the light; relying on his understanding of them, Lance had recklessly planted people around him and within the League.

Giovanni and Lance used to be best friends, close enough to share everything, and they were incredibly familiar with each other's temperaments, preferences, and traits.

If one had to find a comparison for the relationship between Giovanni and Lance... it would be like the current relationship between Aoki and Steven Stone!

At first glance, the similarities were striking.

Aoki was very much like the Giovanni of the past, both belonging to Team Rockets and concealing their identities to enter the League, where they showcased their talent, gained the League's attention, were focused on for development, and were given high expectations.

Steven was similar to the Lance of the past, both being the direct sons of great families and the future heirs of those families, except one was from the Dragon Clan of the Kanto region, and the other was from the Stone Family of the Hoenn Region.

However, the paths the two of them took differed from the relationship between Aoki and Steven.

But the relationship between Giovanni and Lance was the same as that between Aoki and Steven: best friends!

"Lance, the two of us haven't fought for decades, have we? Ever since you disappeared on the Space-Time Continent, I've been looking for you.

I knew that with your abilities, you definitely wouldn't perish in that hellhole," Giovanni said with a look of melancholy.

This was the first time Aoki had seen the serious leader of Team Rockets say such things.

If his subordinates were here, they would probably think this person wasn't their leader.

A trace of melancholy also appeared on Lance's face, and he nodded, saying, "Yeah, I just didn't expect you to stop me here. I called you before to ask if you'd join me against the League, and you said you wouldn't. I didn't force you, I just didn't expect you to come and stop me."

Among the people present, he also knew Taishan, but Taishan and Giovanni meant completely different things to him.

"I'm not here to stop you, I'm just here to tell this League that I, Giovanni, am back! Team Rockets is back! Tell them to get ready for my challenge!

I just couldn't help but feel a bit itchy for a fight seeing you," Giovanni said with a smile on his face.

Hearing this, Lance slowly shook his head with a helpless look, "It's really you; your lies are completely flawless. If I didn't know you so well, I might have actually believed you."

Giovanni spread his hands, "Then there's nothing left to say. Let me see how strong you are now and if you've made any progress after all these years!"

As he finished speaking, two red lights lit up under the black eyepiece of the motionless Mewtwo's helmet beside him. Its body flashed as it charged toward Lance.

Mega Latios and Mega Latias, who were standing guard beside Lance, looked solemn. The moment Mewtwo moved, they moved as well.

A Psychic shield instantly condensed in front of Lance.

They didn't know much about this Pokémon named Mewtwo, nor did they know much about its strength, so they were currently focusing on defense, preparing to see just how strong this Pokémon was!

Mewtwo, clad in shiny black armor, carved a bolt of lightning through the air. Carrying Psychic power that almost tore through space, it slammed without hesitation into the Psychic shield condensed by Mega Latios and Mega Latias.

BOOM!!!

A deafening sound echoed throughout Mt. Silver. Dense, chaotic Psychic energy splattered recklessly from the point of impact, causing some weaker Pokémon and Trainers below to roll their eyes and collapse one after another.

The members of the God Sect were somewhat better off, as they possessed some Psychic power themselves and had much higher resistance, but the League Trainers collapsed in large numbers.

Aoki constructed a Psychic film in front of himself. Feeling the chaotic and disordered Psychic energy brush past his film, he could sense the power within.

Just the aftershock of a single collision could cause such damage; it was truly terrifying.

One could only say, as expected of Mewtwo?

Taishan, beside Aoki, also noticed the changes below. His eyes narrowed as he commanded several of his relatively lightly injured Pokémon to charge downward.

With his intervention, the pressure on the League's side below was greatly reduced.

However, most of his attention remained on the mid-air battle; the first collision between Giovanni and Lance was a mutual probe.

"As expected of a genetic Pokémon created from Mew's DNA! I find I still underestimated this Pokémon!" Lance's eyes lit up as he looked at Mewtwo, who was unharmed after shattering the Psychic shield.

Although his two Pokémon were also uninjured, he had two Pokémon while the opponent had only one. The gap between the three Pokémon was immediately apparent!

After the first collision, Mewtwo returned to Giovanni's side and remained motionless. As long as Giovanni didn't have a thought, it wouldn't move. All commands came from a device similar to an earphone that Giovanni was wearing, which was connected to his nerves.

Just like Telepathy, as soon as he had a thought, Mewtwo would move.

It wouldn't be wrong to say that Mewtwo was now Giovanni, and Giovanni was Mewtwo.

Only now could Aoki finally scan Mewtwo's data. Compared to the Mewtwo he had scanned back then while it was still in the incubation tank, the data had undergone earth-shattering changes!

Pokémon: Mewtwo (Purple) — Armor Form (No consciousness)

Gender: Genderless

Level: 95

Type: Psychic Type

Ability: Pressure

Held Item: Thought Armor

Egg Moves: None

Basic Moves: Hone Claws, Psywave, Confusion, Disable, Safeguard, Swift, Future Sight, Psych Up, Miracle Eye, Psycho Cut, Power Swap, Guard Swap, Recover, Psychic, Barrier, Aura Sphere, Amnesia, Mist, Me First

Learnt Moves: Low Kick, Ability Swap, Telekinesis, Thunder Punch, Wonder Room, Iron Tail, Shock Wave, Ice Punch, Magic Coat, Drain Punch, Icy Wind, Foul Play, Fire Punch, Role Play, Aqua Tail, Snore, Snatch, Magic Room, Trick, Gravity, Zen Headbutt

TM Moves: Psyshock, Calm Mind, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Light Screen, Safeguard, Solar Beam, Thunderbolt, Earthquake, Shadow Ball, Double Team, Flamethrower, Rest, Energy Ball, Will-O-Wisp, Embargo, Stone Edge, Psych Up, Dream Eater, Grass Knot, Swagger, Sleep Talk, Trick Room, Confide

Looking at the data of Mewtwo revealed before him, Aoki really didn't know whether he should curse or not.

He had never seen such a Pokémon!

He had never seen a Pokémon with such data; that long list of moves was as if they cost nothing, though for Giovanni, money was just a number.

But that wasn't the point.

It was well known that for any Pokémon, from learning a move to using it in actual combat, there was a very long process involved.

It wasn't that a Pokémon could use a move in battle just by learning it; there was a process from learning to use, to mastering, to proficiency, and then to simplification. This process was the vital part of training a Pokémon.

Otherwise, while there weren't many people in the world who didn't lack money, they did exist—for example, Aoki's friend Steven, who wasn't short on money.

But even he wouldn't dare let a Pokémon learn so many moves all at once.

After all, being a jack-of-all-trades but master of none, too many moves could instead make a Pokémon confused about their characteristics, making them unable to master or know how to use them.

The best rhythm was to learn one or two moves first, train them to the point of mastery, and then move on to other moves.

As for simplification, that was a massive undertaking. Some Pokémon might never achieve that step in their entire lives; it required not only immense talent but also a vast amount of time and hard work.

Yet this Mewtwo had only been seen by Aoki a little over a month ago. Counting the time it still needed to spend in the nutrient tank, it had been out for fifteen days at most, yet it had so many moves... and from the way it had just shattered the Psychic shield of Mega Latios and Mega Latias, it seemed to have already integrated all its moves. Even if it hadn't reached simplification, it had at least reached full integration.

More importantly, its level had suddenly soared to 95, jumping from being helpless to Sect Leader Level in one go.

Even with the talent of a Legendary Pokémon, its learning ability shouldn't be that insane.

At this time, this Mewtwo's aptitude was only purple. It was unknown if it was born with only purple aptitude or if its aptitude hadn't reached its limit because the current Mewtwo couldn't be considered the true Mewtwo!

Regardless, for a single Mewtwo to be able to withstand two Sect Leader Level Pokémon, its strength was undeniable.

"However, Giovanni! Just one Mewtwo is probably not enough! Summon your Beedrill and let me see how strong it is now!" Lance shouted without a hint of fear on his face.

Others might not know, but he knew very well: although Giovanni was skilled at using Ground-type Pokémon, his starter Pokémon, Beedrill, was his true trump card.

Hearing Lance's words, the corner of Giovanni's mouth quirked up, "If you want me to summon Beedrill, first let me see how strong you are! See if you're qualified to be my opponent!"

A red light flashed in his eyes as well, and the Mewtwo beside him moved again. This time, it wasn't just a probe.

Not only did Psychic energy surge from Mewtwo, but four small ports on the back of the black armor it wore suddenly opened, and four streams of air jetted out, causing Mewtwo's already extremely fast speed to explode once more.

This Thought Armor was meticulously designed by Professor Elm. The armor could not only be infused with the controller's thoughts but was also connected to Mewtwo's physical nerves; with just a thought, the armor would move as desired.

It wouldn't be wrong to consider this Thought Armor as a part of Mewtwo's body!

After all, Mewtwo was man-made, and this armor was also man-made, custom-built for it!
