Aqua's emotions boiled over.
She was about to splash more water on her face when two maids walked by on the stone pathway.
Aqua didn't pay them any attention at first. She was too lost in her own misery.
But then she heard a name that made her ears perk up.
"Did you hear what the Young Master did?" The first maid whispered. "Apparently, he went after Granny Tiona in Broker Field Alley."
The second maid gasped.
"What? You mean Granny Tiona the weaver? The one who makes all those beautiful blankets?"
"The same. Apparently, she caught the Young Master's eye, and he's gone completely after her."
Aqua's eyes trembled in shock.
Her brother was going after an elderly woman?!
The second maid shook her head in disbelief.
"How can that possibly be? She's so old. I remember visiting her shop when I was a little girl, and even back then she was quite elderly."
