After Jamal ended the call with Callan, he remained in his seat for a few seconds, then he stood.
He grabbed his car keys from the table and headed for the door. He was going to see Dawn.
He needed to talk to her and hear what she really meant.
The moment he got into his car and switched on the ignition, he dialled Dawn's number.
The call did not go through. He frowned as he tried again. Still, it did not connect.
"What is going on?"
He wondered as he dialed Lucy's line to find out if she was at home.
Lucy answered after a few rings. "Jamal, you just interrupted my facials. This had better be urgent."
"Sorry. I couldn't reach Dawn, so I was calling to know if you were at home."
"Oh. We're at the spa. She's having her nails done."
"Aunt Aurora's spa?"
"Yes."
"Glad I called. I just drove past it," Jamal said as he started to make a U-turn.
"Oh. Are you coming to meet us?"
"Yes. I'll be taking Dawn with me when she's done. I hope you don't mind?"
