Nate frowned.
"How do you even know that she is attacking you because she knows about our relationship?"
Luca remained silent.
Nate continued, his voice becoming colder.
"Rather, I think she is attacking you because, out of everyone involved, you are the easiest target. You are not related to them by blood, and you have an even greater chance of inheriting everything."
Luca suddenly laughed bitterly.
"Look who's talking. You were the one who once told me that as long as I eliminated the real son, Adam, I would be the one to inherit everything because my father is a misogynist."
His voice carried a trace of mockery.
"You were the one who told me that, Nate."
Nate chuckled and said,
"At that time, I was momentarily blinded, and I thought that you, having such a grand ambition, would definitely have enough capacity to fulfill it. But now, it looks like I was thinking too highly of you."
