She gently shook her head.
"It's all right. It was only an anniversary."
Her unusually calm response made Peter panic even more.
He hurriedly blurted out, "It's something you mentioned just this week!"
His eyes widened anxiously. "I'm preparing that gift for you!"
The moment those words left his mouth, Adriana froze.
"Something I mentioned this week?"
She lowered her gaze thoughtfully.
Her mind immediately replayed every conversation they had shared over the past several days.
Then...she suddenly remembered.
A few days ago, while chatting casually about her upcoming birthday trip, she had complained about wanting to visit the Hawaiian Islands.
Unfortunately, airline tickets had already sold out. She had jokingly pouted and muttered,
"If only I had my own helicopter... then I could fly there whenever I wanted."
A moment later, she had laughed again and added,
"Actually, having a private jet wouldn't be bad either."
At the time, she had simply been joking.
