Chapter 129 - Future Path

Hey guys! The break was pretty good. I have come to terms with many things, and it has been a wake-up call for me.

I would be brutally honest with you. At this rate, I would be able to continue writing for only one more year.

I have realised that as I continue to try to meet my deadline of releasing chapters at the current rate, my storytelling skills won't really improve much by the same time next year, which means so would be my "success".

I won't lie to you. Money has been a main motivator for me to continue investing time in this hobby of mine. Yes, I did have fun initially, and sometimes I do have fun when writing some scenes, but most of the time, it has kind of become a chore, a j*b.

A side j*b, which doesn't pay well. In a year or two, I would be getting actual work(Hopefully, if an AI apocalypse doesn't happen), and my earnings would be way more than what I am getting out of this( In terms of efficiency, too). At that time, I would probably quit this, either voluntarily or involuntarily, due to a lack of time.

However, I think if this hobby of mine had a great return by the time I start work, it's more likely for me to continue doing this. For that, I need to invest time in actually learning how to tell a story. So, the chapter update of my fics will be slowing down.

I won't give a fixed number, and when the next chapter will come, but what I promise is that I have started working on the ending of FTF, and I will give a proper burial with my advanced skills, which I am now developing.

For my other fics, the update schedule will be even more irregular.

Back in Jan 2024, I started this hobby because I was a serial procrastinator, avoiding reality and escaping by reading novels. One day, a thought came in, why not try write my own story? It was an innocent thought, and I did try writing my first story. It went awfully. The story is still on my Wn profile. Name: Black Clover Alternative World Adventures. It's where everything started. Due to exams and stuff, I wasn't able to continue.

Half a year later, I got some free time and became aware of gpt. It eased the burden of writing. Though at that time, it was still in infancy, but to a novice like me, who had many ideas but no writing skills, it was a blessing. I played with this and and acutally got an audience. This was the beginning of Naruto: The Crimson Error.

This was the fic, which gave me the right to call myself an author, and my second most successful fic so far. If it hadn't gone popular back then, then maybe I wouldn't be here today.

(Sora is still my favourite child. Other protagonists are just middle children xD)

Then I experimented with another Naruto fic with OCs and romance, but it didn't go viral. (Naruto: Teach me how to Love You).

Then, at the end of 2024, I decided, let's go back to the roots and try out another Black Clover fic. Nah I'd Lose is my most successful fic so far. If not for my inexperience, I wouldn't have ruined it mid-way. (The diamond kingdom arc. Those who know, know.)

Then, I experimented with complex MC and MHA (Temporal Infinox), but it didn't work. Then came FTF, and though it wasn't really successful, I was tired of changing fics now and then, and decided to write it while practising my skills.

Well, about that... The result wasn't really good.

It was only when I realised that I might be forced to stop writing due to my circumstances, and I now only have one year left for my writing career, that I decided that, if I am going out, I am going out with a bang.

I want to have the fun I used to have when I wrote the ending events related to Sora in the arc after Chunin exams(My fav scene of all time) or when I wrote the fight between Yami and Akeru, those were super fun times.

So, yeah...

It's time for me to change. Otherwise, the world will force me to change.

I am not talented like the protagonists of my stories. I am not as hard-working as my protagonists, who are masters of time-management.

Compared to them, I am just an ordinary guy. So to get something, I need to sacrifice something else.

Thank you to everyone who has read any one of our works and has supported me at any point in my journey. I wouldn't be here without any of your support.

So long, readers.
