A soft knock sounded on the door.
"Come in," Alexander replied while feeding Ella. The door opened, and the older nurse from earlier walked in carrying a small tray.
The nurse smiled when she saw Ella awake. "Good, you're awake again. How are you feeling? Any dizziness? Nausea? Increased pain?" She asked warmly.
"I feel sore," Ella admitted softly.
The nurse chuckled softly before moving closer to the bed. "That's expected." The nurse gently lifted Ella's hand to inspect the IV line connected to it. "Try not to move this arm too much. Your fluids are still running."
She adjusted the drip rate before checking the monitor beside the bed. Her gaze flicked over Ella's vitals carefully.
"Blood pressure is much better," she murmured approvingly. "And the temperature's stable too."
Alexander stayed quiet while watching the nurse work, his attention never really leaving Ella.
The nurse noted something down on her chart, "Any trouble breathing?"
Ella shook her head. "No."
"Good."
