Ella's past self had barely stepped into her cramped room when the door was pushed open again, she immediately turned to see who it was.
Lucien stood there, leaning against the doorway.
"Why won't you ask me for help?" he asked, his tone sounded too casual, it irked Ella.
Ella's past self let out a dry laugh. "Why?" she shot back. "So you can accuse me of going after you again?"
"I won't do that," Lucien sighed, stepping fully into the room. "I can help you," he said. "I'm serious, Ella. I can take you away from here."
He moved closer, his expression softening into something that might have passed for concern. "We used to be close, remember?" He asked. "All you have to do is stop hurting your sister. I just need you to stop scheming against her, she has been through a lot already."
