Draven looked at the two of them and thought,
*Forest Elves... They aren't really that different from Dark Elves. It's like a black dude and a white dude, I guess. There are races everywhere.*
He put on a cute expression and looked up at Olivia.
"Nice to meet you, Aunt Olivia. Did you bring me a present?"
Olivia smiled.
"Since I'm your aunt, of course I brought you a present."
She raised her hand, and magical energy gathered in her palm.
A bow crafted from shimmering wood materialized in her hand. Its surface was smooth, and its appearance alone was enough to catch Draven's attention.
"This is a bow made from a branch of the World Tree," she said.
Draven's red eyes lit up.
He quickly snatched the bow from Olivia's hand.
"Thanks, Aunt!" he exclaimed.
*I can't believe I got a bow made from the World Tree.*
*The World Tree, also known as Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life, is a massive tree in the middle of the Elven Forest that protects the forest. It's even bigger than a skyscraper or something.*
*And how do I know all that? I read about it in a book.*
*That's not the point.*
*The point is, I got a bow made from one of its branches!*
Draven examined the bow, turning it slightly in his hands.
*What can it do, anyway?*
He had received plenty of gifts during the party, but this one was easily among the most interesting. A weapon made from the World Tree wasn't something he could get his hands on every day.
Elliana looked at Olivia.
"Is it okay to give away your weapon?"
Olivia smiled.
"It's okay. It's no big deal. It's a gift from an aunt to her nephew."
Draven's eyes narrowed slightly.
*I remember reading that only members of the Elven Royal Family can get a weapon made from the World Tree.*
He glanced at Olivia.
*So she must be part of the royal family.*
That would explain how she had gotten her hands on something like this in the first place.
Elliana turned toward Draven.
"Draven, why don't you go play with Hannah while I catch up with Aunt Olivia?"
Draven looked at his mother, then at Hannah.
*Play? With her?*
Before he could think of anything to say, Elliana and Olivia began walking away, leaving the two of them alone.
Draven watched them go before slowly turning toward Hannah.
*I hadn't even noticed she was standing there this entire time.*
He studied the girl beside him.
*Did she just stand there this whole time without saying a word?*
Hannah remained silent, her expression as blank as ever.
Draven scratched his cheek.
*Wow. She looks young, but I bet she's at least twenty or even thirty.*
He looked toward the direction the two women had gone.
*Telling me to play with a thirty-year-old... What am I supposed to do?*
Just then, Olivia stopped and turned back toward Hannah.
She placed a hand on her daughter's head and smiled.
"Why don't you play with Draven for a while? I'll catch up with your aunt, okay?"
Hannah simply nodded without uttering a single word.
Olivia gave her head a gentle pat before turning away and rejoining Elliana.
Draven watched the two women leave, then looked back at Hannah.
The girl stood quietly in front of him, making no attempt to start a conversation.
Draven stared at her for a moment.
*I see. She doesn't talk much.*
He sighed internally.
*Well, I guess I'll have to figure out what to do with her myself.*
