Eventually, the conversation died down.
The laughter faded.
The room gradually returned to a more serious atmosphere.
Alix glanced at Ruva.
The young Felinari immediately understood.
Her expression turned slightly disappointed.
"You already want me to leave?"
Alix smiled.
"We need to discuss some important matters."
Ruva pouted.
"I just got here."
"You've been here for almost an hour."
"That's not enough."
Several people around the table chuckled.
Alix shook his head.
"Go spend time with Sorin and Karnessa."
That immediately brightened her mood.
"Fine."
She stood up and walked toward the door.
Just before leaving, she stopped and turned around.
"Don't disappear for another few months again."
Alix laughed.
"I'll try."
Ruva narrowed her eyes.
"That's not a reassuring answer."
Then she finally left.
