"Asking her for a favor doesn't seem like a bad idea."
"Ethan! Misfortune will follow you if you continue to desire something you shouldn't."
"Don't you think you should be heading back to the Palace?"
When he saw how Ethan was blatantly changing the subject, Cedric opened his mouth to let out an angry roar. However, Ethan's cold, low voice cut him off.
"If His Majesty saw you acting like this, what would he think?"
"Ethan!"
"If you go against His Majesty's wishes and pursue my wife, I might change my mind."
"..."
Ethan thought Cedric would take him up on this offer, but his mouth remained tightly shut. Ethan narrowed his eyes.
He merely said what he wanted but did not plan on taking responsibility. The way Cedric was behaving was no different from Consort Min.
He had nothing left to say to Cedric. Ethan walked past him and began heading back to his residence.
"For refusing my request… You will regret it..."
