Aurelia paused, allowing the silence to sink in.
"I've been through a lot of things, but that was the closest I've ever been to dying. Even my Trial wasn't that bad, in comparison. I'm only here now because I was saved by Sir Darkhound's men."
Lillian's face wrinkled internally, 'Not like I can refute any of that...'
If she recalled correctly, Aurelia was one of the many nobles who had employed people to get them through Trials.
"Yeah... I can understand that. Thank you for not lashing out at me, at least."
"Pfft, you kidding?" Aurelia giggled, "Last I checked, you weren't the one trying the kill me."
The Rabbit laughed sheepishly as she rubbed the back of her head, "Haha, yeah..."
Awkward silence soon returned, filling the air between them. But fortunately, it didn't last long.
