Generally speaking, ordinary Pa Xie are Dark Beast Level 1 at birth. After being raised for two or three years, they become Second-level Black Scorpions, and only when they advance further and their bodies turn misty black can they become Third-level Black Mist Scorpions.
Above Black Mist Scorpions, they will continue to evolve.
When they reach the Fourth and Fifth Level, Black Mist Scorpions will start to breed a Martial Soul.
As long as a student's cultivation is sufficient and they seize the Pa Xie's True Qi for themselves, they can form a corresponding Martial Soul.
A Pa Xie with a Martial Soul takes about a dozen years to raise.
A third-level Pa Xie is usually raised for around five years, and during those five years you also have to constantly feed it Medicinal Herbs and Poison Insects; the difficulty of raising them is anything but low.
