It was as if this darkness didn't want to waste too much time on Yang Fan, for a bolt of lightning suddenly split the air and came crashing down from the heavens, striking straight onto Yang Fan's body.
The lightning shattered into specks of phosphorescence. When the glow faded, Yang Fan noticed the speed at which his body was falling apart had increased. The pain had already sunk from his skin deep into his muscles and bones; Yang Fan could even feel the violent agony coming from his heart and his brain.
The brain and the heart—those are the spots that can kill a man in an instant. Yang Fan knew he wasn't going to live, so he simply gave up struggling. He had no idea how much time passed; in the midst of that searing pain, Yang Fan had already forgotten the flow of time.
