It's just as well Ling Er didn't mention it earlier—Tang Rao was already feeling angry about it. He had initially blamed the Ent, thinking it was tricking him, but it turned out the problem was with Ling Er.
When he was transferring Immortal Energy to Ling Er, he hadn't known about her condition. All of that energy went to her side, and trying to take it back wasn't very realistic.
"I didn't give it to you willingly, stop flattering yourself."
As Tang Rao deliberately put on a stern face and spoke to Ling Er, the Ent sitting on the ground nearby almost burst out laughing.
"I never thought I'd see the day! Hahaha, you're going to make me die of laughter, hahaha."
The Ent doubled over, clutching its belly, and Tang Rao just couldn't look more comical being laughed at.
"Laugh one more time, just try, and you'll never appear in front of me again."
Tang Rao couldn't find a way to be angry at Ling Er, but he could certainly take it out on the little Ent, couldn't he?
