Jin Rong closed the door and left the office.
Song Guanchao picked up the teapot, poured himself a cup, and leisurely savored it.
Qu Xiangru asked, "What do you want to see me about?"
Song Guanchao wanted to say, "What's the rush?" But seeing her cold demeanor, he swallowed his words and told her about his research work during this time.
Qu Xiangru listened patiently. After he finished, she suddenly smiled, with a hint of sarcasm: "Since when did a Chief of Office get involved in research work? You're really going all out to please Wu Qiangwei."
"..." Song Guanchao knew she'd react this way and wisely didn't argue further: "Do you know anyone who's quite professional in automobile manufacturing?"
"No," Qu Xiangru replied without hesitation.
Song Guanchao was speechless, realizing she was genuinely upset. He decided not to push it further or show any disappointment, lest she thought he was causing trouble.
