"Brother Song, am I disturbing your rest?"
In the middle of the night, Song Guanchao was dreaming when Jiang Wangshan's phone call woke him up.
He sat up from his bed, rubbed his face, regained some energy, and said, "What's up?"
Jiang Wangshan could tell from his voice that he had woken him up and laughed, "We've caught him and interrogated him. But the situation might be different from what you thought."
Upon hearing this, Song Guanchao immediately became alert: "What did he say?"
Jiang Wangshan said, "This reporter received a tip-off call, learned that Fengliang Company's rice was added with fragrance, went to investigate undercover, and indeed found that fragrance was added."
"No one instigated him?"
"No."
"Alright, I got it. I'll go over and ask tomorrow."
He didn't question whether Jiang Wangshan's interrogation was thorough enough; the man is a cop, and especially considering how seriously he took the matter, working overtime for the interrogation late at night.
