"Clay!"
The fifth-year witch behind him, Vivian, hurriedly reached out to grab him. But before she could, Clay shook her off.
"I have to go! I have to get closer to the Professor!" Clay turned around and declared solemnly.
"That's dangerous!" Vivian was clearly far more mature and practical than Clay. She knew perfectly well that witnessing a miracle was not more important than keeping one's life.
"If I die, then I die. That's perfectly normal for a Ravenclaw," Clay replied simply before continuing towards the figure floating in the air at the centre of the office.
Step by step.
His footsteps were firmer than those of anyone else in the world at that moment.
"You bloody Ravenclaw!"
Vivian's face turned pale with anger.
At this point, she had no other thoughts. Perhaps if she followed him, she could act as the eyes of the currently blind-with-devotion Clay. In some sense, that might improve his chances of survival.
After all, there was absolutely no room in Clay's mind for anything else anymore. If a model crystal fell at his feet in the next second, he would probably interpret it as a trial sent by God.
Damn, as a Slytherin, she really did think quickly.

Naturally, Kasenhis, standing in the centre of the office, had also noticed the two troublesome students.
He said nothing.
He simply used his authority as the Lord of the End to stretch the distance they needed to walk.
For example, a journey that should have taken an hour now required an entire day.
As for everything else, he said nothing and did nothing.
His current state of mind was far too precious.
If he didn't finish this today, who knew when he would ever again enter a state that felt so divinely inspired?
Therefore, absolutely nothing could interrupt him.
Not even Dumbledore.
As more and more magnificent constructions rose from the empty space, infinite lava generators, sand duplicators, iron farms, ice farms, crop farms, experience farms...
More and more machines capable of producing vanilla Minecraft blocks were built by Kasenhis, either according to guides he remembered or according to the mysterious guidance of the power of "I reckon".
Eventually, all eight hundred and thirty blocks in Minecraft were transformed into eight hundred and thirty pages, which appeared in Kasenhis' hands and became the first half of a book.
"You're very impressive, but not impressive enough."
Kasenhis casually bound the eight hundred and thirty pages together with spider silk into a remarkably beautiful book.
Then, finding himself dissatisfied, he let go.
The book fell to the ground with a dull thud.
To everyone witnessing the birth of the Book of Minecraft, this scene was nothing less than an unforgivable waste.
At that moment, they all seemed to lose their minds.
No one cared about preserving their own lives anymore.
No one feared being compressed into two dimensions by Professor Kasenhis and turned into one of the pages.
In fact, if they could become a page within that ancient and solemn book, it would be the greatest honour imaginable.
Instantly, everyone crossed the red line and charged towards the book lying at the centre.
However, they suffered the same fate as Clay and Vivian.
The End magic infinitely stretched the distance between their starting points and their destination.
End magic affected the dimensions of space itself, not one's vision, so Clay could still see everyone else. The moment he realised that their journeys had also been stretched, he suddenly understood that this was not some sort of trial.
It was protection.
"Professor Kasenhis, as a Ravenclaw, I don't need this kind of protection standing in the way of my pursuit of knowledge."
Clay suddenly drew his wand.
Space magic?
He wasn't helpless against that!
A streak of pale violet light instantly pierced through a considerable portion of the elongated space Kasenhis had created.
Outside this place, that violet light would have allowed Clay to instantly appear anywhere it illuminated.
Here, however, it only increased his speed by approximately... two hundred metres.
One had to remember that, last semester, the spatial magic Grindelwald had developed after months of secluded research, capable of circumventing Hogwarts' spatial restrictions, could only manage a teleportation distance of around one hundred metres.
The fact that Clay's violet light could instantly erase two hundred metres of distance, despite the combined effects of Kasenhis' spatial compression and Hogwarts' spatial prohibitions, was the sort of achievement that would make Grindelwald sigh in admiration that the magical world had worthy successors.
And among the students making their way forward, more than half of them possessed hidden methods of varying strength.
If Kasenhis had been in the mood to speak, he would definitely have said:
"I can see now that every one of you has been hiding your true abilities."
"I couldn't agree more."
Dumbledore and Grindelwald, who had somehow appeared by the office entrance at some unknown point and had apparently been watching for some time, stood outside the red circle and sighed in agreement.
After all, when Kasenhis used Creative Mode to clear space inside his office and then constructed vast numbers of automated machines out of thin air, any one of those actions was enough to create an enormous disturbance throughout Hogwarts Castle.
Not to mention the fact that a large group of students had entered the Alchemy office and then failed to emerge for an entire hour.
For something this significant, Dumbledore and Hogwarts' Chief Warden of Wards were bound to show up.
Fortunately, they had.
Otherwise, they would never have witnessed just how miraculous the book Kasenhis had spoken of truly was.
A miracle beyond magic itself.
They had also witnessed something else:
The students of Hogwarts, who normally concealed their abilities so thoroughly that even having a basilisk appear in their faces wasn't necessarily enough to make them reveal their trump cards unless death was imminent, were now displaying every trick they possessed in pursuit of this book.
Yet Kasenhis, floating in the air, continued to ignore them.
He waved his hand.
Instantly, the empty space inside the red circle once again became filled with all kinds of mysterious machinery, sprouting like mushrooms from rotting wood.
This time, the pages they produced no longer represented individual blocks.
Instead, they represented entire magical systems.
A complete Thaumic magical system.
Or an entire Tinkers' Alchemy workshop compressed into a single page bearing the image of a Tinkers' hammer.
However, this particular page seemed unable to contain such an enormous amount of information. It eventually expanded into dozens of pages, which, together with the freshly created Thaumic pages, slowly descended onto the Book of Minecraft lying on the floor.
Seeing this, almost every student advancing towards the centre of the red circle accelerated.
Even Dumbledore and Grindelwald took out magical eye drops and applied them to each other's eyes so they could continue watching comfortably.
At this moment, neither of them had the slightest desire to blink.
They wanted only one thing:
To see what Kasenhis would do next.
