The four sat down at the long oval table beside the teachers—
and only then did they realize this meeting wasn't symbolic.
They were actually being included.
Screens flickered across the room, replaying scenes from the practical exam.
Teachers whispered, rewound moments, paused on specific quirks, and compared performances.
Amid all the noise, the Yonkou slowly settled into their seats.
Once they seemed comfortable enough, Director Nezu lifted a paw.
Instant silence.
"Now then," he began brightly, "what are your opinions on the candidates? Raiden-kun, I noticed you found three quite… interesting."
All eyes turned toward him.
Raiden nodded, leaning slightly forward.
"Yes. Three stood out."
He lifted a finger.
"First—the invisible girl. Her quirk makes her undetectable to the naked eye. I still don't know the full mechanism behind it, but the potential is enormous. Stealth operations, reconnaissance… and besides that, her thinking is sharp. She fooled me twice. That says a lot because I was using telekinesis."
A few teachers murmured in agreement.
Raiden continued.
"Second—the grumpy blonde one. Bakugo. His quirk is strong—very strong—and he has a terrifying amount of drive. He pushed his body past its limits during the test without hesitation. That can be good… or very dangerous. But potential? He has plenty."
Aizawa narrowed his eyes thoughtfully at that.
"And the last one," Raiden said, tapping the table lightly, "Kirishima. Straightforward quirk, but incredibly practical. Durability, strength, resistance all in one. And his improvement path is simple and solid. His determination was similar to the blonde kid's. That alone justified passing him."
"I see, I see," Nezu replied with a satisfied hum. "Good choices. All three you mentioned passed the standard exam as well—they'll be entering U.A. next year."
That news made Nejire smile, Mirio nod proudly, and Tamaki sink slightly in relief.
Nezu then shifted his gaze.
"Now, on to the next. There were several outstanding candidates, but one stands out. Tamaki-kun—about the boy who destroyed the Zero Pointer. You saw him up close. What's your assessment?"
The room turned toward Tamaki, who fidgeted slightly before answering.
"Well… his quirk is obviously powerful. Absurdly strong. But the backlash is terrible. His body just can't handle what his quirk outputs. Still… he moved to save a girl without hesitation, even knowing it would hurt him. His heart is in the right place. But he definitely needs guidance."
Several teachers nodded grimly.
Director Nezu then looked toward Raiden.
"And the severity of his injuries? How deep were they?"
Raiden didn't hesitate—though his expression tightened.
"His leg and arm were broken in multiple sections. His muscles were shredded. Several blood vessels ruptured. If I hadn't used my quirk immediately, and we'd relied on normal methods… he might have ended with permanent damage."
A few teachers stiffened at that.
Nezu's gaze sharpened.
"And if Recovery Girl had healed him instead?"
Raiden exhaled slowly.
"She could've repaired him, yes. But if he keeps using his quirk like that, over and over… the accumulated damage would eventually outrun her healing. He might permanently lose the use of his arms in a short time."
The words hung heavy in the air.
Given Tamaki's evaluation and Raiden's clinical breakdown, the implications were clear.
Director Nezu's expression turned thoughtful—deeply thoughtful—as he tapped a claw against the table.
The teachers watched him, waiting for the conclusion forming behind those calculating eyes.
"Nejire, Mirio, have we ever had another student with a quirk this self-destructive?"
At Nezu's question, both paused to think.
Nejire tilted her head, floating slightly in her seat as she recalled her first year.
"Hmm… no, not in my case. There were students who pushed themselves too hard, sure, but none whose quirks forced that level of damage. Not like this."
Mirio scratched his cheek thoughtfully.
"Nope. If anything, my group showed good teamwork. I gave them a decent amount of points. But reckless self-harm like that? Never saw it."
Hearing both answers, Director Nezu folded his paws together and sank into deeper contemplation.
"We'll need to help them control their quirks immediately," he said at last. "I don't want surprises like the ones from your first year… or another generation that ends up fully expelled."
His eyes flicked toward Aizawa.
Aizawa, of course, neither reacted nor blinked—just sipped his coffee like this was Tuesday.
Nezu continued:
"We'll implement the following: mentorships. Each of you will pick—or rather, be assigned—four or five first-year students. Once a week, you will train them and help refine their potential. This does not replace your hero training, nor interrupt it. But the truth is, all of you possess exceptionally versatile quirks. That makes you ideal candidates to help guide the next generation."
The four Yonkou exchanged glances.
Raiden was the first to speak up, frowning slightly.
"And how exactly will our classes work with that? We're still students. We can't just… babysit rookies. Isn't that the teachers' job?"
A fair question—and a valid concern.
Nezu nodded, unfazed.
"Your classes won't be affected. From third year to fourth, your curriculum consists mostly of practical combat training and supervised hero work. Two years dedicated to preparing you for the real world. And all of you," he added with a small, knowing smile, "have already fought enemies far above the level you should've faced."
He tapped the table lightly.
"So this is also part of your training. Being a hero isn't only about fighting—it's about guiding. Teaching. Preventing mistakes before they happen. You must learn every aspect of the job, not only combat."
Mirio raised a hand like an eager student.
"Wait—so do we get to choose who we teach?"
Nezu shook his head immediately.
"No. We will assign your… mm, let's call them 'disciples.'"
A few teachers stifled laughs.
"Unless you have a very good reason to request a specific one, we already selected them based on compatibility, personality, and projected growth."
The implication was clear:
The chosen first-years were the ones the staff believed needed the Yonkou the most—or could benefit from them the most.
And for better or worse… the responsibility was now theirs.
"first" said Director nezu.
"Nejire Hado, you will be in charge of the next students Kaminari denki; Aoyama; Mina Ashido and finally Fukugami Tokoyami, all of them will be in the 1-A class, also setsuna tokage from the 1-b we think that their Quirks are the more compatible with you, so they could find inspiration you, and you in them" exclaimed director Nezu.
"second, Mirio Togata, this year, we had students that have Quirks that you can guide quite well, yosetsu awase, Shihai kuroiro; Juzo honenuki: tenya lida and finally sen kaibara" said the director.
"tamaki-kun, you will be guiding the next students, Mezou Shouji; Itsuka Kendo; Ibara Shiosaki, Neito Monoma and finally Momo Yaorozu"
"as for Raiden-kun, you will be in charge of Eijito Kirishima; Reiko Yanagi; Katsuki Bakugo, Ochako uraraka and Tooru Hagakure" exclaimed Nezu, it was quite a lot of students to Guide, at this Raiden lifted his hand and asked something.
"I had a doubt, the green haired boy, the bones breaker, He won't be under my charge? considering he can't control his power, I think it could be the best for him" said RAiden, at this Nezu words surprised him "he is going to be in charge of all might, considering the delicate situation of that boy Quirk" at this Raiden lifted an eyebrow, but didn't sai anything, however eraserhead noticed and asked.
"what's the matter?" asked the hero, "nothing, is just, that all might, isn't the person that could looks like he know how to hold back," said the boy.
"First," said Director Nezu, adjusting his tiny glasses with a paw.
"Nejire Hado, you will be in charge of the following students: Kaminari Denki, Aoyama Yuga, Mina Ashido, and Fumikage Tokoyami—all from Class 1-A. In addition, Setsuna Tokage from Class 1-B. We believe their quirks align best with your energy output, mobility, and unique pattern of movement. They could learn a great deal from you… and perhaps you from them."
Nejire beamed immediately, kicking her legs in excitement.
"Aah! That sounds fun!"
Nezu raised a paw again.
"Second, Mirio Togata. This year, we have several students whose quirks match your field of expertise. You will guide: Yosetsu Awase, Shihai Kuroiro, Juzo Honenuki, Tenya Iida, and Sen Kaibara."
Mirio nodded with a warm, confident smile.
"I'll give them my best! They'll be amazing heroes, I'm sure!"
Nezu continued.
"Third—Tamaki Amajiki. You will tutor the next group: Mezou Shoji, Itsuka Kendo, Ibara Shiozaki, Neito Monoma, and Momo Yaoyorozu."
Tamaki swallowed hard.
"E-eh? T-that many? A-ah… okay… I'll… I'll do my best…"
The boy looked ready to fold into himself, but his eyes held determination.
Finally, Nezu turned toward Raiden.
"And lastly—Raiden-kun. You will oversee: Eijiro Kirishima, Reiko Yanagi, Katsuki Bakugo, Ochako Uraraka, and Tooru Hagakure."
A considerable list.
Raiden blinked once, then raised his hand.
"I have a question. The green-haired boy—the one who… breaks his bones. Isn't he under my group? Considering he can't control his quirk at all, it seems logical I should take him. I can help stabilize dangerous quirks."
Nezu shook his head.
"He will be under All Might. His case is extraordinarily delicate."
Raiden frowned slightly, one eyebrow lifting. He didn't push back, but Eraserhead caught the look.
"What's the issue?" asked Aizawa.
"Nothing serious," Raiden replied honestly. "It's just… All Might doesn't seem like someone who understands the words hold back. Are we sure he's the right person to train someone whose body collapses every time he uses his quirk?"
Right on cue—
A familiar booming voice echoed from behind.
"HAHAHAHA!! DO NOT WORRY, YOUNG RAIDEN! I… will take care of him!"
All Might stepped inside in his hero form, wearing a spotless suit, teeth shining like a billboard.
The teachers jumped; the Yonkou straightened; Raiden… did not look convinced.
He simply gestured toward the screen, replaying Midoriya's injury in slow motion.
"To be clear—I'm not questioning your ability to teach," Raiden added respectfully. "But this boy will need constant treatment. Serious treatment. Someone like Eraserhead could stop his quirk before he destroys his body. Wouldn't that make more sense?"
All Might froze.
"E-EHHH—"
He glanced toward Nezu for assistance.
Nezu, of course, was visibly holding back laughter.
"Ahahaha…."
Finally, the principal intervened.
"That student is a special case. His situation requires a different… perspective. But don't worry, Raiden-kun. You, too, will be helping him—and others—when constant healing is necessary. just that "
A subtle ripple of agreement spread around the table.
Eraserhead gave Raiden a small nod—one of the very few signs of approval he ever offered.
