Chapter 1189 - Chapter 1189 Aftermath

With some severely injured, there were naturally others with lighter injuries.

Uvogin was seriously wounded, while Tonpa was the least injured.

The Mirror Spirit summoned by the Mender could flawlessly mimic its target.

Encountering a talent like Tonpa, the result was that the two attacked each other with their eyes, their physical bodies never making contact until the end.

Conversely, Uvogin was combative, so he naturally fought fiercely and intensely with his Mirror Spirit replica.

This meant that when the vortex hit, Uvogin had no spare energy to dodge or defend, taking the full brunt of the damage, resulting in his severe injuries.

As for the others, although not in great shape either, they were still far better off than Uvogin.

Law headed straight for the ice coffin, while Biscuit and the others had Sanbica and Shiro begin treatment.

Soon, Law arrived beside the ice coffin.

He freed a hand to open the ice coffin. Curling white mist wafted into his face.

Stargie lay quietly inside the ice coffin, her eyes closed, her complexion pale and bloodless.

Law carefully manipulated the Nen Mass, first trying to wrap it around Stargie's body, similar to what happened during Chucu's resurrection.

However, the moment the Nen Mass left his hand, a faint attractive force emanated from Stargie's body, pulling the Nen Mass towards it.

Sensing this, Law released control of the Nen Mass, letting it drift towards Stargie's body on its own.

"Please go smoothly."

Law watched the Nen Mass slowly descend onto Stargie's body, murmuring to himself.

A few moments later, the Nen Mass pressed against Stargie's body. Its edges liquefied and flowed outwards.

Soon, the Nen Mass formed a membrane covering every inch of Stargie's body.

Law nervously watched the changes inside the ice coffin, while other team members who were free quietly came over and also watched the transformation.

After about ten minutes, the Nen covering Stargie's body was diminishing.

Law observed carefully and noticed that the Nen was seeping into Stargie's body. Conceptually, this was a good sign.

Moments later, the Nen had completely receded into Stargie's body.

Everyone watched this scene in silence.

The area was so quiet that one could hear their own breathing.

Thump.

Law suddenly heard Stargie's heartbeat.

Although very faint, he was certain.

"Thank goodness."

Hearing the heartbeat, a look of joy immediately appeared on Law's face.

Even without hearing it, he could now feel the faint signs of life emanating from Stargie and the slight flush returning to her skin.

The others also noticed the various changes in Stargie's condition and were delighted.

Before long, Stargie opened her eyes.

Everyone looked at her, seeing confusion and bewilderment in her gaze.

"Welcome back."

Law breathed a silent sigh of relief and smiled at the awakened Stargie.

Fortunately, everything had gone smoothly.

"Welcome back."

Knov and the others also looked at Stargie with smiles.

Meeting everyone's smiles, Stargie sat up from the ice coffin and asked blankly, "Did... something happen?"

Whether due to aftereffects, she had no memory or impression of why she had been lying in the ice coffin.

"It's a long story."

Law smiled, then suddenly thought of Ging, who had pulled the silver-haired woman into a Game Space.

"I'll leave the explaining to you. I need to go outside and support Ging."

Without a moment to lose, Law left decisively.

Stargie watched Law's departing back with a blank expression, her brow slightly furrowed.

…

Law quickly left the apartment space and returned outside.

The surrounding environment had been leveled by the erupting vortex.

Without the thorny trees, there were no light fragments dancing about.

The ground had lost its radiance, looking like a salt flat.

Not far away, the Mender's desiccated corpse still lay there, and Chucu still stood there frozen.

Further away in the opposite direction, Coo sat on the ground, her expression complex, lost in thought. Kuro stood silently beside her, not too close, but not too far either.

After finding Biscuit and the others, sending them into the Hide-and-Seek Dimension, and finally reviving Stargie, the entire process had taken about twenty minutes from start to finish.

During those twenty minutes, nothing had changed outside.

Law glanced at Chucu, then, following his memory, went to the approximate location where Ging had disappeared.

No matter how perilous the process, the outcome was undoubtedly the best so far.

Now, he just had to wait for Ging to emerge from the Game Space.

Law knew that once inside a Game Space created by Ging's ability, no matter how harsh the rules or the game, and regardless of who won or lost, neither player would be in mortal danger.

That was the minimum guarantee. Any other outcome, such as losing limbs or having one's potential Aura depleted, was possible for either side.

So, with Law's side finished first, he had to guard the entrance and exit, waiting for Ging to come out, ready to provide assistance regardless of the result.

However, the surrounding environment had been leveled by the terrifying vortex, making it impossible to pinpoint exactly where Ging had entered the Game Space.

Time passed minute by minute. Law maintained his En, monitoring the area for any movement.

The moment Ging emerged from the Game Space, his En would detect it.

'Ten minutes.'

Law silently counted the time since leaving the apartment.

While waiting, he also kept an eye on Chucu and the Mender's corpse.

'Fifteen minutes.'

'Twenty minutes.'

Law's deployed En operated steadily for twenty minutes.

When the time reached thirty minutes, the space about ten meters away rippled.

Simultaneously sensing the disturbance, Law moved, flashing to the source of the fluctuation.

Ging tumbled out of a spiraling distortion. Upon landing, his knees buckled, forcing him into a half-kneel.

By now, his entire body was soaked in sweat, his face etched with exhaustion.

Law quickly came to Ging's side.

Sensing Law's arrival, Ging immediately relaxed.

Law had never let him down.

Not in the past, and not now.

"What's the result?"

Law first looked down to check Ging's condition, then looked ahead several tens of meters away.

The silver-haired woman had returned here from the Game Space in the same manner. Unlike Ging, who looked depleted, her Aura was very weak and highly unstable.

It seemed she had also invested a considerable amount of Nen into the Game Space.

"It was a mutual loss, I guess. Her 'assets' are just too vast."

Ging gave a slight, wry smile. No matter how skillful one was, it was hard to defeat a wealthy warrior.

"What about your side? How did it go?"

"We won. The Mender is dead."

"Impressive, impressive."

Ging was taken aback, then continued, "And Stargie?"

"She's awake."

"That's good. This trip wasn't a waste."

"Now, only this woman remains. Take her out, and this matter is over."

"Yeah."

Law and Ging both looked at the silver-haired woman.

Meeting their gazes, the silver-haired woman was now speechless with shock.

It wasn't about facing Law again, but the Mender... was actually dead.

'Was such a thing truly possible?'

Like Chucu, the silver-haired woman found it hard to accept the Mender's death.

...

At the edge of the flat ground, on a thorny tree, hung a half-missing foot bone fragment.

Suddenly, between the toes of the foot bone, a red glow the size of a thumbnail lit up, flickering like a candle in the wind.
