Avery blinked rapidly several times as his mind tried to process what Delia had just asked.
It was not that he did not hear her correctly, it was just that what she wanted seemed incomprehensible.
She had just hinted at knowing Avery's identity. Yet instead of trying to blackmail him, or offering him some sort of deal, she instead wanted to see his ship.
To Avery, this just made no sense.
Right now, she was in a place of power.
The outpost had its own guards and security systems that she could wield to protect herself.
Avery was confident that he, Ezra, Olivia, and Kaiden could handle themselves if it did come down to a fight, but there would still be dangers and difficulties to overcome should they become hostile to Delia.
On the other hand, the moment that she was on the Intrepid, Delia would be entirely at Avery's mercy.
