Third Person POV
Empire.
...
...
Smoke still rose from the ruins of the city center. The capital was still trying to recover from the chaos, while beside it, the sea remained furious. Ships could barely hold on, their ropes snapping as the waves rocked and pulled the vessels.
People wondered what had just happened. Where had that monster come from? Why had it suddenly disappeared? Some structures, along with much of the city center, had been scarred by it and its tails. There were wounded and dead.
"Attention! The monster is already gone, but everyone is being called to the castle! They say there will be an announcement!" the soldiers shouted, trying to organize the population.
The people wanted answers, and so both the high nobility and the common folk living in the Empire's capital also began making their way toward the palace. They hoped they would receive answers about what had happened, especially now that there were homeless people, grieving families, and children separated from their parents.
Everyone wanted to see how the emperor would respond. A crowd began gathering in front of the castle. But instead of finding the emperor standing there to explain what had happened that night, they found a man standing there wearing red armor.
Those seeking guidance froze completely when they saw the emperor himself kneeling before that man, while he calmly observed the crowd.
At first, the people were speechless, trying to understand. Then they looked toward the castle's advisors and guards. They remained still, all with their lips tightly pressed together, clearly uncomfortable with being there but unable to do anything. Obviously, they all looked ashamed and afraid, forced to remain where they were.
Then the questions began.
"Hey... What's going on?"
"Why is the emperor on his knees?"
"Who is he? How dare he!"
Someone was forcing the emperor himself to kneel. That alone was enough to cause panic and deal a devastating blow to Emhyr's image. Obviously, he would never allow something like this of his own free will. He was there because he had been forced.
People also began whispering that the monster which had appeared that night... had not been a coincidence...
The emperor remained kneeling, his expression empty.
Everyone had seen the beast launch that black sphere over the sea. Then they saw it raise that energy once more and fire it toward a corner of Nilfgaard. All they could see was the brilliant explosion beyond the horizon. If that attack had struck a city, it would have been completely vaporized.
"Hey! What's going on?!" The city guards could no longer endure it and quickly charged forward.
"Please, stop!" one of the advisors shouted desperately. He did not want that monster to unleash that devastating attack in the middle of the city again. Emhyr's life was already doomed, but that did not stop some people from acting on instinct to save their own lives and the capital.
At that moment, a mage reappeared beside Madara, moving to save the emperor. Madara did nothing except slightly raise his hand.
A purple bolt of lightning shot out like a spear, crossing the distance and decapitating him from more than five meters away while the mage was running toward the emperor. His head rolled across the ground to his feet.
"Stop. Don't be fools." Madara's voice echoed across the front of the palace.
"Your emperor is already doomed. I'm only here to make a public announcement." Madara spoke calmly, in the Nilfgaardian language.
"Who do you think you are?!" someone shouted.
Madara could see that everyone was already beginning to prepare to charge at him. So he decided to act.
The moment he released his chakra, the entire city began to tremble. Everyone's breathing became labored. It was not something they could see, but they could certainly feel it. And even though the people of this world could not possess chakra, it still affected them, and Madara turned the very air into something heavy to breathe, making everyone choke with fear.
The next moment, a collective groan escaped from thousands of people as his body began to glow blue, almost as if he were about to summon the Susanoo.
"Listen carefully, you fools. The beast that terrorized this city was summoned by me. If I deem it necessary, I will do it again. Nilfgaard has already lost. So pay close attention to what I have to say."
"Now listen carefully. There is one thing your emperor still hasn't told you. The army sent to the North no longer exists."
His words plunged the entire square into silence. Even the advisors stared at him in complete shock.
"We destroyed that army this morning. If you want to know who I am... I am Madara Uchiha. The same man who destroyed you years ago, when Nilfgaard sent one hundred and fifty thousand soldiers. And this morning, we once again wiped out the fifty-five thousand men who were in the North. Rest assured... there is no one alive there anymore. And now, it is our turn to deal with Nilfgaard once and for all."
"Th-That's... that's impossible..." said the advisor who had been tasked with gathering the entire population.
Madara merely looked at him. "It doesn't matter whether you believe me. The news will reach you regardless. Ask the mages who were in the North. Since none of you found it strange that they all gathered today with the emperor for a private meeting... and no one has been able to contact them. They are with Lady Arrieta at this very moment."
Madara turned his attention back to the crowd. "We are here to avenge what happened to Cintra years ago."
He could already see several people beginning to turn pale as they realized the meaning of his earlier words. Their sons, brothers, fathers, uncles, grandchildren, and any relatives who had been in the war were most likely dead by now.
Despair began to spread through the crowd, but Madara showed no concern and continued. "To begin with, Nilfgaard will pay for everything it did to Cintra. You will finance the kingdom's entire reconstruction. You will also abandon any territories you still hold in the North."
"We are going to redraw the continent, and part of Nilfgaard will belong to Cintra. For now, I have no interest whatsoever in ruling over you. But I will take all the land from the Toussaint border to the coast. All of it will belong to Cintra under its new government."
"You can't do that!" one of the nobles immediately shouted.
Madara merely made a slight motion with his hand. The man dropped dead that very instant.
"I can," Madara replied. "Either that... or I intend to destroy the entire kingdom. And believe me, I have the power to do it."
"Anyway, we'll begin with the one responsible for the war in the North." He said as he drew one of the swords he carried and raised it before everyone.
"I, Madara Uchiha, hereby execute Emhyr, Emperor of Nilfgaard, for his crimes against the North, especially Cintra. This is the first act of the new future." Before anyone could react, his sword severed Emhyr's head. It rolled several meters before finally coming to a stop.
The place fell into silence. The people were still hysterical over the news of the Northern army's destruction and had not even fully recovered from the shock caused by the suffocating pressure Madara had created.
His gaze then shifted toward the advisors. "I'm not joking. If Nilfgaard takes any further action against the North, I will return. Also, choose a representative. My wife would be Emhyr's heir, but as you know, we have no interest in that."
"So choose Nilfgaard's next leader wisely and begin preparing for a meeting. Next time, we will officially establish your new borders." Madara calmly observed each of the Nilfgaardians before him.
He also noticed people hidden atop the tallest rooftops. Among them was Philippa herself, accompanied by other sorceresses. It seemed they had arrived just in time to witness the spectacle.
In any case, he decided to perform his final act. His chakra began to rise.
Everyone present immediately backed away as a gigantic explosion of blue energy erupted around him, growing larger and larger as the Susanoo began to take shape, crushing what remained of Emhyr's body before it had even fully manifested before the entire city.
As soon as it was completely formed, the spiritual giant drew its sword and unleashed a single slash.
The upper half of the Golden Palace was cut clean in two.
At the same time, the Susanoo began to fly, terrifying the entire city. The gigantic nine-tailed monster had already been enough. Now there was also a colossal blue warrior hovering above Nilfgaard.
Madara looked over the entire city for a moment before his Susanoo ascended even higher. "As I said... I have the power to destroy all of Nilfgaard. So do what I asked."
"Also, we will begin rebuilding Cintra to restore the kingdom. You have been warned." As soon as he finished speaking, he shot into the sky.
The colossal blue energy figure, standing approximately six hundred meters tall, pierced through the clouds and disappeared completely.
Madara reappeared directly at the temple in Temeria.
His wife remained in Aren's room. Yennefer was already there as well, since the clone had brought her directly from Skellige.
Madara did not head to the room. He decided to greet everyone first. He would let his wife rest with Aren while he entered the main hall, finding Yennefer drinking together with Geralt. Hilda was washing the dishes, and Nenneke had already gone to bed.
None of them seemed to have realized that Ciri had already arrived. When Madara entered, Yennefer immediately stood up, interrupting the conversation. She looked at him in complete astonishment.
"Madara..." she said.
Madara simply gave a small smile. "It's been a while," he replied.
The next instant, Yennefer ran to him and embraced him. "It's been so long, Madara... It's been so long since we last saw each other..." she said, hugging him as though she had found a lost son.
The scene was quite strange.
After all, this man had just terrorized an entire kingdom. He had massacred hundreds, perhaps thousands of people, summoned the Nine-Tailed Fox, executed the most powerful man on the continent, and even killed several of Nilfgaard's highest-ranking nobles simply because they had dared to oppose him. He was acting like a true tyrant; there was no doubt about that.
And yet, at that moment, he was simply a man being embraced by a woman who saw him as a son.
Madara couldn't help but smile.
"At least now it's really you..." Yennefer said, remembering that she had spent those days speaking only with the clone.
"I'm sorry for disappearing for those three years," Madara replied in a gentle voice.
Yennefer felt her eyes welling up. She discreetly wiped away a few tears. "I'm sorry too..." she murmured. "I feel guilty for distancing myself from Geralt... and also for not being able to face Aren."
"We'll talk about that later. The past is the past. For now, let's focus on the present." Madara spoke calmly, comforting her.
She simply nodded. There were still many things she wanted to say, but her eyes quickly searched for the person she most wanted to see.
"Where's Ciri?" she asked.
Madara smiled. "She's at the temple. She arrived at least an hour ago and is with Aren."
"She's here? What? She didn't come to see me..." Yennefer murmured.
Madara shook his head. "Some things happened in the south. She confronted her own father and nearly killed him. I didn't want her to carry that kind of blood on her hands. So she came back here while I took care of the rest."
"She almost killed Emhyr?" Yennefer asked, deeply concerned.
Even Geralt looked worried. "What happened?" the witcher asked.
"You'll hear everything. I killed Emhyr myself today. I executed him in front of the entire city and explained the reasons why we did it. In any case, we dealt with the situation."
Yennefer nodded immediately, despite her surprise... She already knew part of the plan through the clone, but he had refused to let her go south, saying that the two of them would handle the entire situation on their own.
"Can you tell us more about what happened?" Geralt asked.
"Of course." In the end, that was exactly what Madara did. "Well... let's sit down and talk, then," Yennefer said.
Everyone gathered around the table. Even Hilda came closer, curious. She remained quite astonished by the direction the conversation had taken. She had no idea just how powerful Madara truly was.
Now, however, she was learning that he had simply destroyed an entire army, entered the enemy's capital, and executed the man who had tormented the North for years.
That night, Madara had killed the most powerful man in the world.
