Third Person POV
Ellander.
...
...
"Goodbye, Aron. Mommy loves you. I will return as soon as I have the opportunity...", Ciri said with a certain sadness, as she hugged and kissed her son before handing him over to his father.
Madara lifted the boy, who looked at him. He did not fail to keep a solemn gaze toward the child.
"My son... as soon as we can, we will return. We will be here for you. She and I will keep you in our hearts... She and I want to see you grow, and when you are old enough, I want to train you. You will be stronger than anyone, because you are my son," Madara said in a calm tone to the baby.
He felt Ciri pushing him to the side. "Stronger than anyone? Are you talking about other babies and children, Madara? You shouldn't say that to your son," she complained, but despite that, her voice carried a certain amusement, with a small chuckle, improving her mood a little.
"I was stronger than the other children, and I remember a brat who chased me wanting to be stronger too." Madara mocked and received another shove from Ciri.
Madara merely opened a small smile, approached the baby, and kissed his forehead. "See you later, my child."
With those words, he handed the baby back to Ciri, who did not fail to kiss him a few more times before finally handing him over to Nenneke, who was beside some priestesses they were already familiar with for having access to that side of the temple and always attending to Ciri's needs during her pregnancy; they watched in silence.
Among them, there was a wet nurse who had been introduced to them a few days ago; she would take care of Aren's feeding.
Nenneke took the child. "We will take good care of him," she said.
"I know... please, always keep him fed. Always change his diaper when needed. He has the habit of liking to grab hair and cheeks... Sometimes he can hurt... It's good to always keep him with his wooden toys, he likes the dragon especially, even though I can use magic, make it fly in front of him. Don't forget that he also likes to sleep every afternoon and usually gets hungry and starts trying to crawl...", Ciri began to speak without stopping, while some tears began to fall from her eyes again.
"I know, my dear. You've already said all that. We will take good care of him," Nenneke said in a sympathetic tone to Aren's mother.
Madara remained silent, turned his gaze to Ciri, and finally broke the silence. "Let's go... we have to leave."
She wiped her nose and nodded.
The baby seemed to feel something at that moment and began to cry.
"Shh... calm down, calm down, my dear. You will be fine," Nenneke tried to soothe him, while the baby continued crying.
Madara held Ciri's waist and vanished as he activated Hiraishin. He knew she would be breaking down if she kept hearing Aren's crying.
They did not go directly to Aretuza, as they had agreed, but instead to a cave used as a laboratory, hidden in the mountains in the middle of the Northern Kingdoms.
It was the same place that served as the destination of that teleportation stone that Vilgefortz tried to use to escape before dying at Madara's hands.
Ciri looked at her husband before throwing herself into his arms. He embraced her as she began to cry, crying as loudly as Aron would cry.
"You can cry... let it all out," Madara said, holding her. She cried loudly like a child there..
Ciri was a girl who felt emotionally shaken easily, and she was a mother who had discovered the happiness of having her baby, but being forced to leave her child behind was a way of crushing her heart with the most painful and cruel squeeze possible.
Even though Madara could say that she could take care of Aron while he himself would solve all their problems, Ciri did not want to let Madara handle everything alone, she wanted to go with him and fight for their future. Even so, the pain was too much for a mother's heart.
She cried nonstop for some time, until Madara placed her on a bed, while his lap served as a pillow for her crying.
It was after some time that she finally stopped, got up, wiped all her tears and her nose, taking a deep breath.
"I needed that...", she said after some time and hugged Madara again on the bed.
He touched her hair on her forehead with tenderness. "I know, my love. It's not like it's something easy. I also want to solve things. I hope we can have our son back," Madara replied in a careful tone.
She looked at him and laughed softly. "You have been very romantic lately..."
"I'm trying to take care of you, we had to leave our son behind... This is destroying you..."
"Yes... But I like that you are taking care of me..." she murmured.
Madara gave a calm smile, he saw Ciri closing her eyes as she hugged him tighter, until he began to compose himself again, before she assumed a determined look as she faced him.
"Let's resolve all of this, no matter how long it takes. Let's resolve everything once and for all, so that we can return to Aron, to Cintra, so that we can rebuild Cintra again, and we can raise our family," she said, while Madara nodded.
They ended up spending the rest of the day and the night there. Madara said they did not need to go to Aretuza at that moment, that he would send a clone to deal with it, since there was a scheduled meeting. At least, they could relax a little and put their thoughts in order.
Madara knew that Ciri needed this, and he did too. After all, Aron was also his son.
It was the next morning that Ciri found Madara boiling water and preparing something for them to have for breakfast.
"You left in the middle of the night," she said, sitting at the table.
"You noticed?" he murmured with a slight smile, looking at her with a gaze that made it clear it was obvious.
He had gone north. He left in the middle of the night with a teleport so silent that it should not disturb Ciri, after receiving some memories from a clone. He stayed away for about twenty minutes and returned as if nothing had happened, lying down beside her again.
"What did you go do?", she asked, while drinking the coffee that Madara liked to have.
Madara picked up some documents and placed them on the table.
"As I said, I myself took some measures against Kovir." She took the documents, as he had said he would, and looked in surprise at the papers.
"Obviously, here is your father's signature," he replied, while she looked with some disgust at the name Jaime.
"With these titles, Kovir will no longer be able to charge Nilfgaard. Quite the opposite, they now owe us. I have also already taken the documents from the south and, as I am sure it will still take time for Emhyr to start sending money to Kovir, we will resolve our problems. After that, I myself will personally collect the money so we can rebuild Cintra again," Madara said.
"That is good, Madara," she said, satisfied. That money would be more than welcome to rebuild what Nilfgaard had destroyed.
"And about Kovir?", she asked.
"We will deal with them one way or another. That king will be extremely furious when he finds out he lost money he never imagined losing in his life. And, if he gives me a reason, well... I would have the pleasure of paying him a personal visit."
"I would like that too," she said with some anger toward that man with a crown on his head.
"I also want to deal with something else, Ciri, but I need you to have your head in the right place for that," Madara said.
She looked curious, watching him put the papers away again.
"You certainly already master a magical level even comparable to Tissaia," Madara began, "but you still need to develop many spells, don't you?"
"Yes... I figured we would start training."
"And we will. I want you to set aside hand-to-hand combat and turn to the magical energy of your blood. I will be using the Sharingan so we can start training this in a separate space," he said, which was perfect, like that time they trained inside the dimension, until Ciri lost control when they were leaving Kaer Morhen heading west.
"Alright, I will do that," she said, trusting her husband.
"But it is not just that, Ciri. I want you to know that your magic goes far beyond that. You have an even more hidden power within you, a power that you cannot control."
"Are you talking about that time when I lost control and devastated the entire forest and almost killed Geralt?", she said carefully. She still remembered that with caution and even a small trauma of guilt.
"Exactly. I want to help you train, to unleash that power and control it. This form will make you become stronger, Ciri. If you manage to control the extent of all the Elder Blood, nothing will be a threat to you. And there will be nothing in the future that you will not be able to see. Even traveling through time would not be impossible with these abilities..."
Ciri looked at Madara, astonished. "Do you really think I can do that?"
She was already proud of being powerful in magic, but her husband was becoming increasingly powerful and distancing himself from her; currently, they had a great disparity in power.
In a way, she longed for it as a hidden desire.
It was not because she was pregnant that she did not take part in the battle against the demon — even if she were not, she would not be able to go, because she was still weak compared to her husband. While he fought dragons and the demon that night, she could only wait for him to return safely.
He was on a level far above her.
"Do you think I won't hurt someone... or even hurt you?", she asked carefully. She would never forgive herself if she hurt someone close to her, especially Madara.
"Before, we might have had some difficulty. But now that I have reached a much more powerful level, I am capable of protecting myself and dealing with your loss of control. Which I think will happen quite often, until you finally manage to master this strength."
She nodded still cautiously upon hearing that. "Alright, I will do it," Ciri said. She wanted to stand beside Madara, she wanted to have the power to protect Aron, she wanted to deal with her enemies and problems.
Madara nodded at her answer. "Very well. Take enough time. We will go somewhere before we go to Aretuza. We will do our first test with that power of yours," he said.
They had spent three months without touching on the subject of training. They only stayed together as a family, day after day. But before the meeting — which Madara was sure would not be peaceful at all — he would try to make Ciri develop even more power in her abilities, so that she could protect herself.
They left there and went to an isolated place in the north, far from both the human world and the regions where the dragons lived.
Madara placed a genjutsu on Ciri and took her into a mental space.
He asked Ciri to begin releasing what she had felt the first time she let her loss of control take over.
She had the desire to reach him, to not fall behind, to not be a dead weight, to stand beside the man she loved.
Little by little, she felt the flow of more power circulating through her body. Her eyes began to tremble, glowing like two beacons.
She lost control and everything went dark.
From that point on, she felt that she could no longer control her body. Everything she seemed to do now was guided by impulses of power, domination, of becoming stronger.
And in the midst of the darkness, a voice came... "Stay sane, Ciri. This power is yours. You must command it, not let it command you," Madara's voice echoed in her unconscious, trying to free her.
"You control the Elder Blood, and not the Elder Blood controls you," Madara's voice appeared once again.
She, who saw herself in the dark, suddenly found herself on a battlefield.
She was no longer in Madara's illusion — it seemed she had shattered everything. Around her, there was destruction. She could see several Madaras fighting against her inside skeletal Susanoo with legs, while she was floating in the air holding a sword. The entire region was engulfed in red flames and green energy.
She did not even know how she had caused all of that.
"That power belongs to you. It is your gift, and you have to learn to master it," Madara's voice came once more.
Ciri saw herself attacking one of his versions without being able to control her own body, while coating the sword with purple lightning, colliding against him and generating a massive explosion.
She teleported and appeared behind the Susanoo, her sword cutting through the blue avatar and actually managing to wound it, before disappearing as other Susanoo swords flew toward her.
She was there, watching everything. She saw her own movements and felt the adrenaline and power flowing through every part of her body, but she could not control anything.
They remained like that for hours, and she felt her body beginning to collapse; that was Madara's cue, who suddenly appeared right in front of her, using Hiraishin through the tattoo on his body.
Not even in that state could she react.
He placed a seal with a paper on her forehead.
She felt her consciousness fading immediately.
The battlefield was nothing but destruction, flames everywhere. Madara picked her up and held her in his arms before landing on the ground, observing the scene. His eyes then returned to his unconscious wife.
She did not control her powers, but she managed to see everything. That was already a beginning.
Madara studied her through his Sharingan, being able to see her memories while they fought. He could see that she was already there.
It was something risky. Many times, Ciri would never have had the opportunity to truly find that power within herself if she did not have the capability he has now, because she would need to lose control many times and, little by little, begin to master that power.
Without the current Madara, it would be impossible and she would fear unleashing that power.
Everything within a radius of one kilometer in that rift had been destroyed. And she must have been causing explosions like that all the time. Not to mention that all beings on the continent with magical sensitivity should have already felt the magical explosion.
There was no way to hide it, and Madara needed to, he was the only one who could provide this kind of training to her.
When she masters this, she will basically be like a goddess among mortals, because right now she simply unleashes her powers in all directions, without filtering them, without shaping them.
Otherwise, if she knew how to shape that power, she would understand the kind of monster she could become — someone capable of matching, at least in part, his level of power.
