In the next moment, the dragon wrapped in Susanoo's armor advanced against the golden dragons prepared to fight.
Ignavros' speed became a blur and in an instant, he was already upon them, at a speed few golden ones managed to react to. The closest was not one of them, being the first to have his head severed as one of the extra arms created by the Susanoo moved the energy sword, cutting him down.
The others immediately unleashed their flames upon seeing their companion fall.
Ignavros was plunged into the flames and quickly consumed, but from within the fire, he emerged still enveloped by his blue aura, without a single scratch.
Quickly, the fight began with him surrounded by dragons.
"Let's go." Madara merely spoke as the green dragon, surrounded, felt confidence and advanced propelled by the armor.
He had the advantage of the swords having the power to cut the dragons with ease, besides being made on extra arms. The dragons were slain one after another.
Even when sharp teeth clung to Ignavros' body, the armor protected him. Despite being much smaller and surrounded, with dragons striking with their tails, spewing fire and trying to bite him, he came out unharmed.
Even one of the golden dragons flew high, pulling him upward, before having his head blown apart by the blade, after Ignavros placed one of the arms inside his mouth with the sword, still trapped against the body between the head's teeth, and cut.
Of the fifteen dragons that joined together, about seven had been killed by Ignavros and Madara in a constant battle. Madara decided not to eliminate the other eight. So, he simply created clones that emerged from the crystal of Susanoo's armor, each going to the head of a dragon still alive, without them being able to dodge after placing them upon new roots emerging from the ground.
The clones placed a fūinjutsu seal on the foreheads of the last eight, making them simply fall asleep.
Everything happened in just five minutes. The battle had ended. The other 'allied' dragons did not interfere, since that had been an order from that terrifying human. And they truly did not get involved, ending up witnessing a true massacre.
Of the twenty golden dragons, only eight survived, for having been knocked out still... While another ten were still trapped in the wooden roots, unable to transform into human forms or escape the Mokuton prison.
In any case, Madara deactivated the Susanoo layer on Ignavros, while the dragon could not stop looking, somewhat curious and even confused, ahead of him.
"I... I killed them?", he asked, incredulous. He clearly did not believe what he had just done. Despite his will to fight alongside Madara having been heightened with the energy armor, he had done more than he imagined he could do something like that.
"Well, it looks like it's over," Madara said, analyzing the terrain, dispelling the clone. His gaze turned to Ignavros' eyes. "I will leave a clone with you. It will maintain the armor if you need to fight. I want you to help bring down all the dragons in the valley that are being controlled, they all have red eyes."
"And you?", Ignavros asked Madara.
Madara merely looked toward the horizon, from where the red light was coming. "I will deal with that once and for all."
Ignavros was surprised by the words and Madara left a clone on his head before jumping off it and advancing. The original simply moved toward the light, passing by the defeated dragons atop the mountain and ran in the direction beyond it.
Madara reached the edge and made a dragon-sized leap from the mountain over 1000 meters high. He looked down at the valley while in free fall. He could still see dragons fighting one another. He had to interfere.
Then his eyes began to emit a dangerous glow. Immediately, they began to change their pattern once more, from three tomoe to the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.
Madara, in free fall, began to manifest his Susanoo. It started to form with a small aura, until it exploded, creating an enormous mass growing larger and larger. Light began to emerge from that point in the valley, even making the dragons look in surprise.
The energy finally took the complete form of the 100-meter blue Susanoo.
In the next moment, it simply flew upward above the mountain as it opened its wings and advanced into the sky. The dragons watched, surprised as they saw that humanoid form made of blue energy shaped like armor flying through the sky, while it headed directly toward the red light coming from the distance of the farthest mountains.
Some dragons saw this and began to fly after the blue Susanoo, trying to chase it through the air. Madara noticed this, while some controlled dragons on that side simply abandoned their fights against the other dragons and flew toward the Susanoo in the sky.
They reached his height and tried to block his path. Madara, inside the crystal on the Susanoo's forehead, did not even bother, as swords were created from its hands. The chakra blade advanced when the first dragon approached, cutting him in half with just a single simple strike. Blood gushed in all directions as he fell, divided.
Other dragons also advanced, and Madara, with a few movements, began to cut them down easily; they did not stand a chance. He noticed that more dragons were coming toward him, but he no longer cared and moved forward again. He needed to finish Gaunter once and for all first.
He traveled at high speed, even leaving the dragons behind. When he approached the mountain enveloped in red glow, he moved the sword once more, cutting it cleanly in half. The thousand-meter mountain, even ten times larger than the Susanoo, gave way to the blow and split open, revealing an enormous amount of Chaos Energy with a corrupted signature within it.
It was red energy in a crimson tone.
There were two eyes within that explosive energy, staring at Madara. He could not see exactly what Gaunter was feeling at that moment, but he would bet that Gaunter must be surprised to see him there.
"Hello, Gaunter. How long has it been? Almost a year, perhaps?", Madara mocked, hovering in the air while watching the swirling energy and those eyes fixed on him. The other dragons were arriving, but Madara did not care.
"You..." Gaunter seemed to growl. But he would not ask foolish questions.
"You hid well and it was smart of me to take that soul you had a contract with. It served you very well, simply exposing the location and provoking a massive dragon attack in the human kingdom. But I think you could have been less showy than that," Madara mocked.
Gaunter seemed wounded by that. He roared, and the energy began to manifest even more strongly, growing. He was furious, clearly feeling deceived — and Gaunter hated feeling deceived.
Then the energy exploded. It began to take shape. The silhouette of a demon started to manifest. Madara could not say that anything else would suit him better, as he watched the creature, over one hundred meters tall, also beginning to grow. He looked very much like a Balrog from The Lord of the Rings, only far stronger, wrapped in crimson red energy.
"So this is your true form?", Madara said, looking at the creature. It was not the human form. He had not recovered that body and had probably lost all the progress since it had been destroyed back then.
The creature stared at him. Its voice was distorted and malevolent.
"You have certainly surpassed yourself, human. I knew this day would come and that we would fight with everything. That is why I did not merely try to recover my body, which I could have done long ago. I wanted to manifest my true form in this world, with my powers not functioning very well against you... For that, I needed time. And now we will finish this."
The creature roared in the next moment, making all the mountains tremble. Even the Valley of Dragons felt the energy and the bestial scream.
"So I was mistaken...", Madara thought, not caring about the energy that tried to press him downward.
He was not recovering the human body, but rather preparing to fight him. Well, that should have been obvious after seeing that he failed to deal with Madara in Skellige. It was fortunate that Madara had already managed to unlock 80% of the system, being able to have a Susanoo that could stand toe to toe with that creature.
Madara then made the Susanoo simply raise both hands with the swords, while its wings opened in a battle stance in the sky. Inside the crystal, he formed an excited smile.
"Let's dance."
The creature's response was a massive roar. In the next moment, it began to create wings of fire on its back, and a whip of fire appeared in its hands.
"It really does look like a Balrog...", Madara thought. Not that it mattered...
In the next instant, the creature advanced, spreading its wings and charging at Madara before the dragons could even reach them. It unfurled the whip and lashed it toward him, who quickly beat his wings and moved away as the energy tore through the space where he had been.
Madara repositioned himself in the air as Gaunter drew closer and closer. His wings flapped powerfully, and he advanced once more. The whip was unleashed again.
Madara raised one of the Susanoo's arms to defend himself, while the whip coiled around his sword and arm. He ended up being pulled, but he used the momentum: he lifted the other hand and swung the blade to cut the creature.
Flames began to manifest, forming a sword of fire in Gaunter's free hand, which collided against the chakra blade. Red light and blue light clashed against each other, exploding in the sky.
The dragons in the valley could see, from a distance, the clash of the two energies striking with such force that winds reached all the way to them.
"Can someone tell me what is happening here?", one of the elder dragons murmured among the corpses of the previously controlled companions.
He looked at Ignavros, who had a clone of the human upon him.
Madara looked at him. "What controlled you was a demon. He was hiding nearby and ended up using many of you to cause chaos in the human world," Madara's clone replied.
"What? A demon? That thing exists?!", the dragons murmured.
Certainly, the energy they had felt coming from that mountain was not normal. They had tried to approach, but the controlled dragons were extremely protective of that direction, not allowing anyone to get close, forcing them to remain and fight in the middle of the valley.
"And those dragons who left here and went to the human world? What happened to them? Were they killed as well?", another golden dragon asked.
Madara looked at him and nodded. "Yes. They attacked human capitals, but they were all eliminated."
"So many deaths... How could this have happened?", a white dragon murmured, dejected. "We had been at peace for so long. We did not even interfere in the world of the other races for years. And now you are saying that a demon simply decided not only to disturb the peace of the valley, but also to cause the death of... what? A third of the dragons who have lived here for millennia?"
"My condolences for what happened. But the creature that caused so much harm to you must be destroyed. If that brings you any peace, then pray that my original body defeats it," Madara replied, crossing his arms, while more sounds of battle echoed in the distance. Other dragons had also arrived.
In the sky at the center of the battle between Susanoo and the Demon, they quickly began to bite at the complete Susanoo. The dragons were also around one hundred meters in size, the same size as the Susanoo, and Gaunter took advantage of this to try to break the armor.
Madara used one of his jutsus in the next moment. His Susanoo exploded in purple lightning, creating a layer of energy that hurled Gaunter and all the others backward, many of them being injured by the electricity, while the blue body remained wrapped in electrical discharges.
It was one of his storm-style jutsus.
While the sword was still caught in the red whip, it also exploded in purple lightning, using the same technique he applied to his real blades, granting far greater piercing power and speed. The whip of fire was cut apart by the lightning.
"I'm not used to this, but I'm getting the hang of it," Madara said, satisfied.
This was not the same Susanoo he had used in the war. It did not have as much destructive power with the sword, but it was far more flexible. It could fly and even replicate jutsus he normally performed.
Amid controlled dragons and the demonic creature wielding a sword and a whip, Madara displayed a smile within the crystal of the Susanoo.
"Very well... let's continue."
