"Mistakes are fun, until you look in the mirror."
----------------------------------------_--------------------
Tonight was the gathering for new employees , Some seniors came to tag along just to drink. I never should have came here.
This day was the cause of it all.
"Hey Alex! Come heeere you should drink!" A senior of his spoke slurring her speech as she passed him a shotglass full of alcohol.
Alex refused the glass and moved it back towards the girl's side of the table but she stood up and carried the glass drinking it then suddenly kissing him.
Alex jumped in surprise before pushing her away but noticing that his lips and throat were stinging then started coughing.
The girl only laughed then poured another shot still staying beside Alex."Drink, You have to drink."
He firmly shoved her off before standing up to leave, the other people at the gathering glanced at him and the ones beside him helped him up
"Thanks, but I'll go out first." He spoke to one of the seniors before looking back and talked to the register, handing his black debit card to the cashier, "I'll pay for everything ordered, and get some few more chicken wings and finger foods to the tables."
Once Alex left the senior came to her senses looking for Alex, "Hey where'd the cutie go?" No one answered her and continued the party.
Most of them went home hammered, some went and continued to drink more at a different place, meanwhile Alex was over by the footbridge looking down towards the moving cars.
He felt his phone buzz in his pocket, pulling it out and his face turned sour from seeing the one calling him. He hesitated to accept the call for a moment but accepted it in the end.
"Hello? What do you need now?" Alex spoke annoyed into the phone, it was dead silent for a few seconds before someone cleared their throat.
"It's been 6 years, Come home." The voice was stern yet soft, sighing was the only thing he could've done.
"I can never forgive any of you for what happened, I'm thankful that you haven't froze my cards but that's it. Please stop telling me to come home." He pleaded to the person on the other end of the phone.
"We've been too lenient with you, your mother misses you and I never said it wasn't by force." As soon as the voice spoke the two ends of the footbridge had burly men in suits appear by the staircases.
"If they come for me I'm jumping." He threatened but then felt something stick onto his arms. Two darts struck each of his arms and his body slumped and fell down.
The phone in his hands slipped and fell down onto the road crushed by oncoming traffic as the burly men walked over and carried him down and then carefully placed him inside a van.
A few hours had passed since the bridge incident and Alex slowly came to, a splitting headache and woke up to something tight wrapped around him.
It took him a full 5 minutes to fully sober up before seeing his old house's living room with him tied up on the sofa.
"You crazy fucking old man. Let me go." Now seeing where he was Alex want nothing but to be out of there.
"Ah you're awake, You ungrateful brat 6 years not once you didn't come visit." The old man who walked in spoke sternly and sat down from across Alex.
"Oh please, as if you haven't got your people spying on me considering I was kidnapped was already a damn good sign of that." The old man scoffed at Alex's words before lightly tapping Alex with his cane
"Kidnapped? We merely brought a runaway back home. If only the ungrateful brat actually visits once in a while." The old man fake wipes a tear from his eye as Alex just looks at him deadpanned
"Really now? Then why are my hands cuffed together and my legs cuffed to the table? Also you know why I left 6 years ago. It was all because of what you did."
