After pretending to stumble helplessly under the effects of her poison, Ethan had secretly dragged her consciousness into a maze of layered illusions and interconnected false realities that he had built for her.
Everything she had experienced afterward, including the process of binding his helpless form with her vines, then dragging him to the bed, and then mocking him, had merely been part of the illusion labyrinth Ethan had constructed inside her mind.
Meanwhile, in reality, her physical body had remained completely vulnerable before him the entire time.
Even though she didn't understand the full intricacies of her defeat, the horrifying realization that this young man had made her body and soul completely defenceless just moments ago caused cold fear to explode within Elis's heart.
