Michael, of course, immediately went and asked Seberus if he could accompany him to the Guild of Arcana. The Mystic Master was more than happy to show off their wizardry estate.
"You know, if you had just accepted becoming my student, then you would have already been in the Guild of Arcana right now. You might even be a Mystic Master."
Even if that were the case, Michael wouldn't exchange that possibility for his current reality. Now, he was happy with what he'd got.
"Do you think I'd be able to get an exception on the secret library if I told them that I could still wield magic?"
His question made Seberus stop and reconsider. "Hmmm… what a complicated question."
Now, of course, in an ideal world, the wizards of the Guild of Arcana would celebrate the momentous discovery of an anomaly like Michael. If he could still wield magic, then there was a chance that they could also find a way to bring back their ability to wield the mystic arts.
