The hooligans had been hearing that incessant, rhythmic beating all around him for quite some time now. At first, it was faint, barely even audible. But as they spent more and more time in this dungeon, the louder the noise got.
But what's infuriating was that they seemed to be the only ones who could hear them!
The guards and other prisoners of this dungeon said that the only thing audible in this room was the clanking of manacles on the cold hard ground.
This made it seem like they were the crazy one, when in fact, the rhythmic beating was so loud that even the deaf could hear them! It was literally beating so loud that they could feel it in their chests.
"We're not going crazy! We're not!" said the hooligan. But there was doubt starting to creep into his voice the more he tried to convince the others.
Arthur showed himself to the hooligans.
"There is no one who can enter this dungeon without me knowing," he said to the hooligans. "Whatever you're hearing is insignificant."
