Selene stood on her pillar with a cold expression.
For a few breaths, she did not move.
Angelina looked toward them calmly.
"Max Morgan. Selene Vaeloria. Enter the stage."
Two beams of light descended.
Max appeared on one side of the central stage.
Selene appeared opposite him, her white-gold hair moving gently behind her, her face pale but composed. She looked at Max silently. The Heavenly Luminance power inside her body stirred faintly, but it did not rise. No avatar appeared behind her. No Genesis light opened. No spear formed above the stage.
Max looked at her.
Selene clenched her hands for a moment.
Then she spoke coldly.
"I surrender."
The entire arena froze.
Even Max raised an eyebrow slightly.
Angelina Valerius looked at Selene for a breath, then announced calmly, "Selene Vaeloria has surrendered."
