Telling Sir Forsythe everything was emotional. Cass didn't leave anything out, even if he had already disclosed some of it to him over mail. He just felt that a retelling of everything that happened was important for him to hear. Even if he was worried that Sir Forsythe was going to potentially reject him.
He wasn't certain, but he was still scared.
By the time he was finished speaking, Sir Forsythe had ended up on the couch across from Gideon and Edgar, with Cass at his side. He looked shocked, steamrolled, actually, and he looked like he had aged a significant amount in the hours that it felt like Cass had been speaking.
Cass also felt like he had aged, but this needed to be said. While he trust Sir Forsythe, he didn't want to force him to continue working for him if he didn't want to. He wasn't really Cassian anymore, and that was who Sir Forsythe had been working for this whole time. He also wasn't not Cassian, but he worried more about the first part, not the second.
