The next morning after, as they had crawled out of the dungeon in the wee hours of the morning, Cass rolled over in the tent and found a warm mass pressed against him.
Lucian had crawled into his tent and wrapped himself around Cass. Cass normally would have complained, especially since they were at least trying to appear not entangled with each other in the camp.
Wait, were they? Cass couldn't remember if they'd had that conversation, but Cass was pretty sure that Edgar had set up a few tents. It was a bit of a blur for him.
The magic drain on him had been hard, especially after having so much freedom inside of the dungeon. It was hard to grapple with the loss when he knew how terrible the dungeons were for the people around them, and for the heroes themselves.
Either way, Cass was pretty sure Lucian had a tent all for himself, while Cass was also by himself. If Gideon and Edgar slept together, Cass was fine with that. Edgar had also looked pretty tired the night before.
