For some reason, just as he had pushed open the door and walked in, a sensation as if something had targeted him—bringing an imminent threat to his life—instantly pierced his heart, causing his body to react instinctively, almost summoning Little Vonier right then and there.
However, the sense of threat came and went quickly; in just an instant, the sensation rapidly expanded then swiftly vanished, until it disappeared completely from perception.
It was as if the force supporting this threat rapidly declined to a point where it could no longer cause harm to him.
The Great Mage frowned tightly and walked towards the shattered Divine statue.
