Outside the Spiritual Medicine Garden.
The playful old man perched on the treetop revealed a smile full of intrigue.
He folded his arms across his chest, eyes shut.
Unconcerned about the pungent scent of blood on his robe.
He hadn't lied to Qin Fan; this was his first time killing someone.
Living over a hundred years, it was his first kill.
Yet he felt no discomfort at all.
Before long.
A faint snoring began.
The old man had fallen asleep!
He drifted off with that thoughtful smile on his face.
But this peaceful slumber didn't last long.
Suddenly, he opened his eyes wide and stood up abruptly!
Unconsciously exclaiming, "How is this possible!"
His breath quickened, his heart raced.
He turned his head and looked toward the Spiritual Medicine Garden.
Only to see wisps of faint golden light rising from within.
Gradually.
The golden light became incredibly intense.
It seemed to envelop the entire Spiritual Medicine Garden!
